2023-24 Season | Game #23 | Cavs @ Magic | Dec. 11, 2023 | 7:00 p.m.

It was just a horrible, cold shooting, off night for most of the team. I was amazed that we were able to hang with the Magic considering JA being neutralized with fouls.

It happens to all NBA teams from time to time.
Mobley and LeVert out, Allen reduced to 16 minutes, and we were 9-for-40 on threes. Strus, Niang, and Okoro were 1-for-23. It's amazing we were only 5 points down with a minute and a half to go. We definitely could have stole this one with just bad shooting instead of abysmal shooting. I think we would have won if Mobley had played 37 minutes like last week.

But the Magic played swarming, intense, physical defense and they rank 3rd in points allowed per game. Give them credit, but we also missed a lot of open shots.

Mitchell and Garland dished out a LOT of passes that facilitated wide open threes that just kept clanging off the rim, if they hit the rim at all. Even hitting 30% of those might have gotten us a win.
