2023-24 Season | Game #23 | Cavs @ Magic | Dec. 11, 2023 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It was a super obvious foul. It doesn't get more obvious. He got all arm. No ball. Fundamentally altered the shot. It will be on the two minute report.

Son of a gun I meant to rewind and double check that. I could have sworn the angle I saw made it look ambiguous but maybe I missed an alt angle

No way I thought we'd win without Mobley against a team with a 6'10" front line, but we actually could have pulled it off if not for multiple players having horrible shooting nights. Not to mention Allen basically taking himself out of the game by being slow, uncoordinated and stupid. Orlando owns him. Last game he only played 19 minutes due to fouls and tonight he fouled out in 16. With Mobley out and facing a huge front line we needed Allen to have a good game and he checked out.

I'm actually thinking Thompson is the better player all things considered. Allen is slow, weak, and has bad hands.

Garland almost single-handedly kept them in it. Too bad he missed three 3-point shots in one possession or the game would have been more interesting at the end. But 36 points and only 3 turnovers in 39 minutes. He's finally getting into a groove after missing a big chunk of training camp and the first five games of the season.

TT is not a better player than Allen. Allen had a bad game.

With the stagnant ball movement all game long, JBB giving KPJ another DNP-CD is
simply asinine.

Too many games in which the offense devolves into a playground ball hog
debacle. JBBs' typical remedy- yell louder at the refs.

Cavs scored 6 points in the last 7 minutes of the 3rd quarter. 1 for 11 from the field.

I also thought we’d drop this one tonight, but it now feels like one that got away. DG was great. DM was meh, but not terrible. We got very good games from TT & Wade. Merrill didn’t hurt us. But Strus, Niang, Allen & Okoro were so bad. If we had gotten anything from any of those 4 we would have been right there at the end. If 2 of them are just average we win pretty easily.

" The scoreboard ticks for a reason and we just didn't make enough shots to win it. " JBB

Roleplayers playing poorly? Make sure they don't have a PG setting them up.

When Mitchell runs the bench, it's like he has to be scoring a lot for the bench to be good. When CPJ runs it, the other guys can pick up the slack. CPJ takes 2 shots for every assist. Donovan takes 5. It freezes guys out

Another loaded stat-line:

1 point, 4 boards, 1 TO, a team-worst -21.

In his 4th year, still doesn’t look like an NBA player.
His last 2 games against the Magic : 55 minutes, 0 for 8 from the field, 1 for 4 from the charity stripe , 1 assist, 1 steal , 5 rebounds and 1 turnover. Dreadful. Period. (If you think I’m picking and choosing games, his other 2 appearances this month he scored 9 points each)

It was just a horrible, cold shooting, off night for most of the team. I was amazed that we were able to hang with the Magic considering JA being neutralized with fouls.

It happens to all NBA teams from time to time.

He has trouble against 6'10" defenders. He has no outside shot and he's at a big height disadvantage going to the rim. He has no pull-up jumper or floater. When he gets switched off on a smaller player he can bull his way to the rim, but against bigger foes he has no answer.

But still...not a single field goal in 55 minutes. Wow. One point and one assist in 55 minutes. Hard to imagine, especially since he's in his fourth season with 224 NBA games under his belt.including 179 starts. It's hard to justify giving him minutes once LeVert, Wade, and Strus are all healthy.
