Dobbs has been getting starter snaps for how many weeks?

We've seen him as a backup, he's not much better than DTR.

The Browns were fucked when their stupid QB thought he was a running back and fucked his shoulder for a week. And super fucked because they couldn't figure out Watson couldn't overcome the pain.

No backup QB was winning this game. The Ravens defense is good talent wise, but their coordinator will mind fuck the best QBs, let alone a QB making his first start.

No Watson, we can't win games. Especially with no Chudd. I think they should have kept Dobbs, personally... It was not a good decision. But does it really matter? No. Season is for shit without Watson at this juncture.

I'm not going to call for rolling heads over the backup QB position. A little dissatisfying, but most teams in this league are screwed if their QB goes down.

Not everyone has a Tom Brady or Purdy waiting in the wings. That's just extreme luck.

Yeah, you're definitely not wrong. Dobbs is not winning this game, Brissett is not.

When we can't run the ball, a backup is not saving the day. Brissett fed off play action last year, that's why he was productive. If Brissett played today, we are losing this game.

The big concern, is if our running game is this bad. We need Watson to be that elite QB, or our season is a lost cause.

We could have still had good things with this defense, Chudd, and Watson at least being good. We need big things now, or its another lost season.

as he should. I was very mad at all the throws demanded of the rook. But even more at the decisions made. the ability to have a sustained run game is going down the toilet. Great run from Ford erased due to a hold (I can't remember who it was).

Beyond the QB play I didn't think offensive line was great either. Injury added to insult with the Pocic situation

This does lend some credence to the theory that some folks have floated out there that the Browns felt like Watson, even without a week of practice, was still going to play and were taken aback when it was determined he couldn’t.

Stefanski even sort of hinted at it in his own vanilla and robotic way that it was Watson who made the choice to not play, not a team decision.

The offensive line looks bad because the teams know the run schemes. Pin-pull and outside zone. It's all they run, all game. No power, no duo, no counter. And when under center, it's either run, or it's play action, usually with a roll out designed.

It's the bye week, so it's time for self scouting. And let me tell you, if they come out of the bye week and they STILL haven't developed any new wrinkles to their running game, especially out of shotgun, then they have failed big time as a coaching staff and Stefanski deserves to be questioned about his job.

It was a rookie making his first start vs a defense that feasts on rookies making their first start.

Was the NFL offense on Sunday different from the one he ran in college? Yeah, probably very different.

The moment that I heard DTR was going to play, I knew the Browns had 0 chance. The Ravens are a hard team to breakdown post snap for the best QBs in the world, let alone a guy making his first start.
