2023 free agency

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thoughts on Jordan Clarkson & Royce O'Neale? I don't know if possible, Altman would need to get creative.

Clarkson isn't a fan favorite, but our options are limited. He played with Mitchell in Utah, which is a positive.

Royce O'Neale would have to be let out of his $9.5M deal, and Jordan Clarkson would have to decline his $14.5M option, in order to be free agents. The Cavaliers only have the MLE (assuming they keep Levert), so I cant see Clarkson turning down more money just to come to Cleveland. RON for about $10-12M/per is possible, but not sure why the Nets would let him walk.

I could totally see the Nets letting RON walk. They have a very high payroll & need to re-sign Cam Johnson.

They can resign Cam and keep RON, though. I'm fairly sure they'll make other moves (IF they need to) before letting RON walk for nothing in return.

The Brooklyn Nets are in a weird spot. They have an insanely high payroll for a team that's not a title threat. By signing Cameron Johnson for $20 million a year, that puts them at about $160 million in salaries. O'Neale makes almost $10 million, & with the tax, he's worth an estimated $20 million more (correct me if I'm wrong), so he costs $30 million to them.

They have a plethora of wings on that roster that are above Royce in the depth chart. I just don't think it's worth it for them to keep him because he probably won't get play time anyway. They may think it's worth it & keep him, but it's possible they just let him go.

I'm aware that they traded a first for him, but the one they gave up isn't really that valuable.

RON averaged more minutes per game with Brooklyn than he ever has in his career (31.7mpg).

I wouldn’t be surprised if they S&T Cam for a lesser salary and a pick(s). I’m assuming they’ll try and dump Simmons and will need to attach picks to do so.

He is an idiot. But he is a supremely athletic idiot. I’d take him
I'm not entirely sure the Lakers pick up the guarantee on MO Bamba's contract. If we're telling ourselves we can coach up young and dumb, he should be the target.

LeVert is 6 ft 7 & 39% 3 pt. shooter. I think he's our best bet, there aren't many available wings better than him.
LeVert is not a 39% shooter from 3. I'd bring him back at a reasonable number, but don't get carried away.

I would trade mitchell for bridges, oneal and picks.
I wouldn't do it. Mitchell is our go to guy on offense. Mikal is a huge downgrade on that end. I like his defense, but that funky looking shot scares me.

If it were Bridges & 4 first rounders, I'd consider it, but still would be hesitant.

As a matter of fact, I still wouldn't do it with the 4 first rounders. We're not a rebuilding team.
