2023 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I didn't see much of Isaiah Mobley last year. What are the chances he can contribute at the NBA level?

Believe he's the Cavalier For Life tax. As long as Evan wants to be here, Isaiah will be on the team in some form.

Isaiah Mobley isn't as twitchy or as long as Evan, but he improved a great deal last season. Here's an article where Slam Online checked in:

At USC, Isaiah started out the low post scorer and passer. His final year with USC, he worked on pushing his shooting range out to the college three. At 6'8, he just wasn't going to be a dominant interior presence offensively. His three point numbers floated between 35% and 38% all season. He also cut some of the baby fat and is moving better.

Kobe Brown is my favorite sleeper in this draft. I’ve been worried that his stock is going to rise (try to keep it quiet) as we get to the draft. He reminds me a bit of Grant Williams but with higher IQ when he was at Tennessee. Kobe would be the perfect player to accommodate with our big men. People will forget about Love’s full court passing because Kobe has such great IQ and you don’t need JBB to instigate it because Kobe actually looks for his players to go on fast breaks.

He even shot 45% on catch and shoot which is impressive. Despite not shooting from outside early in his basketball career, he kept practicing and getting more confident. I believe his shooting is going to be even better.

I love his off ball game. I’m sure all know here by now but I’m a huge fan of players who do well off the ball. He would be so great in this offense. He knows when to find open spots. He goes back door. He gets in position for post ups. He finds places to get open even at the perimeter. He does a lot of the little things that can make offenses even better.

I love this guy so much and he’s been my target for awhile.
Had a phenomenal game yesterday. @Randolphkeys im sure you saw it. His shooting form looks good as advertised. Another player we liked mate but he may be better than what i had expected as a 2-way player.

The supply for sweet shooting forwards fails to meet the demand. Old ass Richard Jefferson was a shell of his former self, yet how important was he to those Cavs teams? Kobe Brown will be in the rotation eventually, and that's for a team unafraid of the luxury tax.

Starting to develop a little crush on Ausar Thompson. I'm only watching highlights but he's exciting as hell, and plays with lots of passion.

I feel bad for Amen as he had his injury recently but they both play really well and get involved to make their teams better. Both have such high IQ players and as you mentioned play with lots of passion. Good to see young players like them have a passion in basketball and look to become better (just have number players in this league who just utilize their talent rather than passion).

Dunno if there's a thread open here yet for '24 Draft

So am just tossing this here for the time being, happy hooping!

No list and only going by what I've picked up from hoopheads but this sounds like one of the worst drafts since 2013?
