2023 NFL Postseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A few weeks ago, I saw an article suggesting the Bears make like 3 trades down in the NFL Draft. The first was from #1 to #2, then #2 to #3, then #3 to something else and then own the next few drafts like Sam Presti. At the time I thought that wad a ridiculous idea out of Madden, not reality. Seeing how things are shaping up now? Ryan Poles has a unique chance to really execute something franchise-changing. He could trade 2-3 "franchise-caliber QBs" in an hour.

-Hold the #1 pick ransom. Get Washington to offer whatever it takes to bring Caleb home. 2 #1s and some extra?

-At #2, do the same. Who wants the next best QB? New England? Las Vegas? Atlanta? Pittsburgh? Denver? If you can get a similar deal from New England (2 #1s and some extra), pull the trigger.

-At #3, rinse and repeat.

Ryan Poles could, potentially, turn Caleb Williams into 4 #1 picks, "and some extra," while building around Justin Fields and loads of draft picks and cash.

Really is crazy how many options the Bears have, and the impact of those choices could determine their fate for the next 5-10 years.

While it would be cool, fields isn’t the guy. Take Williams and move on.

I disagree. I think Fields, with a competent OC and decent roster, could absolutely be a winning QB.
It’s been years now, it ain’t happening. He’s an elite fantasy QB but he isn’t the guy. Reset the clock with Caleb and surround him with even more talent than fields.

He beats the Browns if a dude doesn't drop the ball...

Wins and losses certainly do...
I could be really wrong on Caleb Williams but I am not a big fan. He could end up being very good but I think a lot of bad tendencies reared their ugly head last season. We shall see I suppose.

Fields over his last 17 games
4200 total yards
33 total TDs
93.2 rating.

He got a good receiver to throw the ball too and it certainly helped. I think he has room to improve as well.

He does need to cut down on the turnovers.
12 picks and 5 lost fumbles over that same time span.

Those numbers were with a bad OC, bad oline, bad defense, a poor running game and few legit weapons. And he had them in the running for the playoffs until near the end of the season. Improve even HALF those things and I think they push Detroit and GB. Not to mention the haul they could get for trading down...

Around the division: Will Harbaugh follow the post-Ray Rice "zero tolerance" policy?

I am not holding my breath. He might pay the hush money to the witnesses or defendant, and even if convicted, I doubt they will hold him to the appropriate standard bc he really is that good and probably instrumental to their offense at this point.

Hence the quotation marks
