2023 NFL Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It was foolish of me to say something so controversial as the Chiefs have a bottom 5 WR room and a 34 year old tight end might not be the sturdiest crutch to lean on for too much longer

They also have the most talented QB of all time so he forgives an immense amount of sins. Doesn’t mean those sins aren’t occurring

Weirdly even someone as mediocre as Juju looks like he will be missed

I think it's too early to read much into their WR room. They drafted Skyy Moore in the second last year and he had a really good prospect profile. He didn't do much last season or tonight, but I'm not ready to completely write him off. Toney was godawful tonight, but he could still be a useful gadget player this year, and he scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl last year, so it's hard to call the trade for him bad. They also drafted Rashee Rice in the second round this year. I don't love his profile, but he was their best WR tonight.

Maybe all three of those guys end up being busts, but a poor week one showing for two of them while Kelce was out and the pressure was dialed up to 11 doesn't mean much of anything.

I don't expect their WR room to be amazing, but it also won't be nearly as bad as it was tonight all season.

But what’s too much longer? Like basically everyone thinks they’re a Super Bowl favorite this year provided Kelce is healthy and tonight was his first missed game in literally a near decade.

I think that if you're not counting Kelce, then KC has the worst WR group in the league, even worse than NYG.

I think Nico Collins, Robert Woods and Tank Dell would each be the best receiver on the Chiefs.

Same with Theilen and Chark

And Pittman, Pierce...

Thielen is fucking dust, man. He needs to be taken to the glue factory. And Chark hasn’t done a damn thing in like four years.

Yet they're all better than the best receiver on the Chiefs, the cast-off MVS.

Again, prefacing all of this with Travis Kelce not counting, even though he's obviously KC's #1 receiver.

The chiefs absolutely snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in this one

A comedy of errors handed the Lions the win. It wasn’t just the pick 6, 2 consecutive 3rd and shorts in the red zone inexplicably not converted with wide open receivers. Reid’s insistence on taking the ball out of the best player in the NFL’s hands in pivotal plays
It was a grind. A battle for the ages. But they finally figured out a way to get it done and hold that L.

Chris Jones probably happy. I wonder if he can get in Mahomes’s ear and show him that AAV chart of QBs and how he just keeps getting pushed down.

King Goffrey was out there slingin' absolute dimes last night.

Yeah, he looked fantastic.

Very odd career for him to this point, so much up & down. A rich man's Baker Mayfield.

And when Kelce plays their WR's look better. MVS looks like a decent WR when Kelce is on the field.

KC WR room is probably below average but Kelce does elevate their game when he's out there. Also not going to make fun of their WR room because they could turn around and trade for a #1 WR and shit won't be funny anymore.

Part of me thinks that he came into the league not liking football but now he does. That would make him dangerous. That OC is pretty good.

No.

I only make that caveat because if someone said "the fuck are you talking about? Travis Kelce is a receiver. He lines up in the slot the majority of plays. He never stays in to block. The "tight end" label is stupid" then I'd agree with that person.

KC WR room is the worst in the NFL and the possibility that they could improve the room doesn't change the current reality.
