2024 NBA Playoffs: First Round

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Spoelstra is one hell of a coach
I’m sorry if he was a hell of a coach his team would have beat the Sixer, Boston fuck around and lost, all the heat did was launch 3pt shots and they happen to go in over 20 times …….

Heat had no reason winning that game, I guarantee that the only win they get going forward, Boston will take them serious going forward, I hope I’m wrong and Miami give them hell the rest of the way…..

Hate the Knicks I don't care. I find it funny how much Knicks talk there is on a Cavs forum. They are in your heads and it's hilarious.

And all I did was counter somebody saying the Sixers got screwed. This is a discussion board right?
There are actually actually a handful that I can think of off the top of my head who either live in NYC or have lived here.

They destroyed us last year, and they are a good team playing the reigning MVP’s team. Of course we talk about them. (And some of us live in or near NYC). I don’t see the problem. Seems like people are getting emotional in here lol

I've compared them before. A fair bit of similarity, especially defensively. Dort is a bit stockier, less passive offensively and takes threes from more than just the corner. He's really improved from three this season. Okoro though is a better finisher.
Lou Dort is also 2 years older and has 3/5 seasons shooting less than 40% from the field (career 40%).

Meanwhile, Okoro is 23 (2 full years younger), and has shot above 48% from the field in 3/4 seasons (sans rookie year), albeit on less volume.

Not hating on the comparison! I just think Ice Man is the clear better player/prospect.

Both dudes are dawgs on defense but Okoro has an edge in size and strength as well.

TIL “Helluva Coaches” win every game that matters!

I find it funny this is perplexing to you. You’re in a subsection of a Cavs forum called Around the NBA. The Cavs and Knicks are in the same conference. They are both in the playoffs. You’ll find talk about every single team left in the playoffs.

Not sure how you haven’t figured this out yet. It’s almost like going into the college football thread in the OSU section and being surprised that people are talking about other teams in the Big 10.

Well yes, I did already mention Okoro is the better finisher in my post. I think they're about equal defensively. Dort is the better shooter from outside at this point, though that wasn't always the case.

Dort was also undrafted. Great find for OKC.

He has a player option this coming year, he doesn’t need to be traded, he can go wherever he wants

That was part of my point....he doesn't want to go anywhere else. The only reason we might see him wearing another uniform is to make this Bronny thing come to fruition, but he's done chasing rings at this point. LA is home for him.

31 point lead with just over 5 minutes to go...let's see Biyombo, Coach Daigneault!

Spolstra is a Great coach. Any team can lose "one" game. That's why we play series.

Miami is the ONLY East Team that has consistently beaten Boston recently lol

2019 Miami Beat Boston in 6 in the ECF
2021 Miami lost in 7 to Boston in the ECF
2022 Miami Beat Boston in 7 in the ECF
2023 Miami tied the series 1 - 1

My prediction? This thing is going to 7.
Miami lives inside Tatum & Browns heads.

I think Okoro is a great defender, but I’d take Dort over him in most matchups. Dort is a bad hombre.
