2024 NBA Playoffs: First Round

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You're such a weird guy who takes offense at everything.

I do think Minnesota is coming out of the West.

It also stands to reason that if Denver beats Minnesota, then I'd think Denver is coming out of the West.
Man you guys are a couple of my favorite posters, please like each other :(

Suns were the only team to challenge Denver last year and Minnesota is dismantling them.

Denver wins next round, they're repeating.

That’s a big if - looks like Minnesota could challenge them.

While I don't believe anyone really thought the Sun's would do anything the way they're constructed, the Clippers were anointed many times and geez, what is seemingly a failed experiment.

Which kind of dawns on me, you hear LeBron talking shop with JJ, and most of his references (for obvious reasons) are about this now old guard... perhaps part of their problem now is he didn't evolve up to the new game and new coaches. Or maybe it's just the tires are too worn. But seems it must be too worn on all these dudes too.

The tires are too worn. Lebron just doesn’t have that playoff gear any more where he can seemingly magically elevate an inferior team. It went way beyond the box score - where he still looks impressive - and included defensive dominance and total orchestration of the offense.

I don’t think LeBron at age 39 can bring playoff intensity on BOTH ends of the floor. That’s not a criticism at all, he’s by far the best age 39 / 21st season player the game’s even seen. He can still put up counting stats and his skills keep getting better but as one gets older the energy just isn’t there.

Let the Sun's be a lesson not to blow up your Finals team for a washed up Superstar.

Durant put up 27-7-5 this year on 62% true shooting, hardly washed up. Minnesota has held him below his regular season performance though. They’re just a better, younger, deeper team.

I’m not sure the Suns would beat any Western Conference playoff team from what I’ve seen.

They sacrificed a young, growing team with at had been to the Finals in favor of a couple of aging, frequently injured players making a ton of money. If it worked perfectly, at best you’re probably looking at a two-year window where you have a real shot to win it all and then you have no way of improving the team moving forward.

Even Giddey is performing at a high level tonight.

Great job for the worst #1 seed ever, up 24 with 7 minutes left on the road. Sure, Zion is out. But look at the job they've done on McCollom and Murphy. Well done for the youngest, worst #1 seed ever. Looks like that team people thought would lost in the first round will go up 3-0. Gotta give them some credit at this point, I guess?
