Yeah best record in the MLB.. I'd say they are cooking.. and usually our bullpen improves in the second half.. Clase showing out with 3 k's to close..

In the 9th inning of 2022 MLB All-Star Game.
First time in a regular MLB game though.

We aren't excited because the Tribe doesn't have the best record. The Guardians do. And for that, yes, we are excited and just enjoying this stretch of victoriousness.

Bullpen day for the Sox; they're going with Cooper Criswell, a 27-year-old right-hander, to start. Criswell has appeared in 14 major league games with a "career" 5.73 ERA. He pitched 2.1 innings against the G's in Boston, allowing four runs but only one was earned. He wasn't bad; Guardian hitters went 3-for-11 with two singles and a double.
I assume they'll try to get three innings out of him and then move on to their lefties. Brennan Bernardino, their best lefty out of the pen, has pitched in four of the five games against the Guardians. In 8.1 innings he's allowed 2 hits and one run. He pitched yesterday but only threw 14 pitches so I expect he'll get another inning today.
Their other three lefties in the bullpen have combined to pitch 4.2 innings against the Guardians and allowed 5 runs.
This will be their second look at Cookie in five days so we'll see if they have more success this time around.

We have played 23 games. Over half of them have been against expected contenders/winning records.
We are 9-4 in those games. Thats a .694 percentage. Even if you don't count the two games vs Manny, off to a horrendous start, we are 7-4....636 winning percentage. Thats a 103 win pace.
We ain't just beating the bums.
This weekend we will travel to Atlanta, and everybody (me included) is saying, 'Wait til we have to face the Braves.' But two weeks ago everybody (me included) was saying, 'Wait til we face the Yankees.'
Well, we are 5-3 vs them. Thats a .625 winning percentage and a 101 win pace.
Its an unimaginable beginning to the season.
