Clippers send Jordan, Bledsoe, and Odom to Boston. Butler and future 1st rd pick to Cleveland
Celtics send KG and Pierce to LA.
Cavs send Casspi and Gibson to Boston.

Thoughts?

Casspi, Gibson, and rented cap space that expires in 2014 for another 1st round pick?

My response is: Get off your hands Grant! :)

It works. Intriguing idea actually.

Casspi, Odom, and Gibson expire too, giving Boston more cap space.
Clippers become awesomer.
Cavs get a pick.

I thought of Pierce and KG for Jordan, Bledsoe, and Butler earlier but this trade helps the Cavs a lot. I'm just not sure if this deal even needs the Cavs. I think the trade between BOS and LAC is sufficient actually.

If only Caron Butler was 4 or 5 years younger... then again, LAC would be absolutely stacked right now if that were the case.

I tried just Boston and LA on the machine and it doesnt work so that's why I threw in the Cavs because we are under the cap and we have expirings that can help a team like Boston if they were to blow it up.

KG said he'll never waive his no-trade clause, i know he could change his mind, but KG is old school

trade machine links arent workin for me, just goes to the start page to set up a trade

That's odd.

OK, so try this:

BOS sends
Pierce
Garnett

LAC sends
Butler
Jordan
Odom

Red Auerbach is going to kick you in the nuts from the grave.

Thinking about that deal in comparison to the original one, I guess the deal with the Cavs is getting a bit more in terms of expirings.

I don't think the deal I proposed is too bad. Jordan would be a solid piece at the C spot and the other contracts expire before the heralded 2014 FA market.

I'm not sure Boston would be willing to give up Pierce and KG. They probably want to keep one. Pierce probably.

There's Bledsoe missing also, and he's a decent trade piece at least. If Boston is going to give up Garnett and Pierce, they're going to want some serious rebuilding chips, and Jordan and a bit of cap space isn't enough. So I think you'd need to add Bledoe and/or draft picks.

I personally think trading both Garnett and Pierce makes more sense than just trading Garnett. A trade of Garnett clearly means you're looking towards the future -- at least 2-3 years down the road -- and keeping Pierce makes no sense then.
