And i don't think Golden State would either

I could see us getting Bellineli, but Richardson too?

A little extreme don't you think?

charlotte would never do this....

From a $$$ standpoint, they would. From talent, they wouldn't. This deal would save them a little over $34M if they are looking to save money for the future.

And i don't think Golden State would either

Why not? There supposedly dangling Harrington for a Point Guard. They get Felton, get rid of Bellineli and pick up Varejao to.. I think its a great deal for the GSW.

Now, on the other hand I don't think Larry Brown would want Wally.

Bottom line is that the Warriors need a point guard, badly, especially with Baron Davis leaving. There are options via free agency for them, but their best bet to get one if they are looking to really contend next season is via trade. It has been said that Felton is on the block or could be traded soon, especially with the Bobcats drafting D.J. Augustin and combo guard Kyle Weaver during the draft. It does seem like they do give up a lot [giving up on Belinelli and Perovic's potential], but with them signing Maggette, their SG/SF spot got more crowded already having Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Kelenna Azubuike and Matt Barnes...Belinelli probably won't see much playing time next season. Perovic is a project as well as Belinelli, though Perovic never saw the floor much last season. I'd say upgrading their point guard spot is more important than waiting for potential players to pan out. And if the Warriors are looking to compete next season [it appears they could], then this deal will help them in my opinion.

So, basically Charlotte gives up J-Rich, Felton, and their back-up center for Al Harrington and Wally Szczerbiak??????

Not a chance!

Even if Thomas were the GM in Charlotte HE wouldn't do this!!!

Golden State: 50%-50%

We'd do it in a second.

But Charlotte would need a pick out of this, and the pick would likely have to come from GS, who receives Felton & Varejao..... which means they wouldn't do the trade.

I'm not sure the Cavs would do this trade if they had to give-up a pick too.

Alright, take out Jason Richardson and put in Gerald Wallace, who as many have said is a concussion away from ending his career. The Bobcats would probably rather get rid of him and his deal anyways than J Rich, along with Mohammed's long deal.

I don't think Felton is enough for them though... Bellineli is a solid player, why they would want Varejao and Wally would be a mystery to me...

I think they would reject it because of those 2 players...

Once again were getting like 4 decent players for our 2 garbage, no way would that work... not in a million years... maybe if we gave up something more that would be worth it like a draft pick...

Or we could even get Ellis out of this deal if say throw in a draft pick and Delonte plus Wally and Varejao?

Plus charlotte isn't getting jack squat they're giving up Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace for Harrington and Wally, To me that doesn't make sence whatsoever

I think if you throw some picks in there to bobcats, like mybe are 1st they would do it. idk, But i do like your idea. tweak a few things and I could see this happening. But ferry thinks we are a championship team right now, so we are screwed.

I think you're closer.

The Cavs would be on the fence on this one: Are they willing to take a chance on Wallace?

We "KNOW" Charlotte will basically "GIVE" Wallace away, but the other players.... not so sure. Wally is a nice expiring, but unless they plan-on tanking, then they have no need. Charlotte believes they can win now-if they don't, then they deal J-Rich immediately.

So, Charlotte prolly won't do this, as they wont be getting enough back for what they are giving-up.

Golden-State is still on the fence. But, with their need of a PG, I think they do this...and "Might" be willing to throw-in a second rounder.

Felton and Wallace together won't bring a #1 pick. Felton has dropped like a heavy rock, and Wallace seems to get hit by a lot of rocks :chuckles::chuckles:....

anyway, I do think you're closer.

Wallace is a concussion away from ending his career. We would seriously be taking a huge chance on the guy. He's due nearly $40M guaranteed with four more years left. Mohammed is a bad contract for what he provides at this point in his career. He's due nearly $20M guaranteed with three more years left. The only "decent" players we get in this deal is the young talent in Belinelli and Perovic. Yes, Wallace is "decent", but considering that his career could end by another concussion or two doesn't sound very appealing even with the numbers he puts up healthy.

As for why Charlotte would do this trade, they would only do this if they were giving up on the season and wanted salary cap relief. It's a known fact that they are wanting to get rid of Wallace and Felton [from what I've read on the 'net], and I think they'd gladly show Mohammed and his bad contract the door if they could do such. My second deal would save them almost $30M. So considering that the players they are sending are ones they no longer want...and they cut what salaries they send out nearly in half [$61.42M to $32.25M]...and if Charlotte decides to tank this upcoming season...then I don't see why they wouldn't do this deal.

I'm not sold on Charlotte getting rid of Nazr because he was a pretty serviceable big when they gave him minutes. When he was starting for them, he put up solid numbers. It never made a lot of sense to me when he had a string of 6 good games starting that they benched him for another week. That benching killed my fantasy league. :(

Yeah, but Charlotte was considered a playoff contender before they stunk-it-up last year; and I believe that Jordan&Friends still believe they are close... so I don't see them throwing the season.

They're already fretting over attendance... Jordan may commit suicide if it gets any worse.
