Wade's not at LeBron's level, but c'mon - his team is awful. There's no other way to describe his supporting cast.

Hey, no excuses for D-Wade. LBJ use to have a terrible supporting cast, but he made the most out of that cast. I don't want to hear the Wade has an awful team. I'm not going to pity Wade at all.

The Heat look horrible, I'd rather watch Gigli while listening to Lil' Wayne's rock album.....but you know something though?

There's 12 minutes left and it's providing the perfect opportunity for Wade to thrown the cape on and come out with a magical performance to leave the folks in ATL with shock and awe (no bombs though)

Likely? No. Possible? Definitely.

I would be SHOCKED if they're able to make it a single digit loss. Dwayne Wade is choking so hard it's not even funny. Grant it the rest of his team is just atrocious, but he's 9-22 from the field and 1-7 from 3.

+1

Last I checked Lebron took an equally terrible supporting cast to the NBA finals.

I'd take Z, Gooden, Andy, Boobie, and the rest over this Heat team. Like I said, LeBron's at another level and is the MVP, but the fact the Heat were a 5 seed is impressive in itself.

Ok, but I still don't want to hear his team is awful excuses.

The entire Heat team curled up into the fetal position.

I don't really think it is that impressive. Sure they were the worst team in the L last season, but Wade finally is fully healthy and they have a LeBronesque supporting cast (in the past any way). Wade is just to fragile to be playing the way he does.

Another thing I'll say about the Wade vs Lebron comparison...

In all the Cavs games I've watched over the past year, the only time I've thought Lebron didn't look like the best player on the floor that day was once or twice against Kobe. That's regardless of outcome, regardless of how many points he scored etc.

Today watching the Heat and Hawks I have to say that Joe Johnson easily looks like the best player on the court. Clearly he's hot today and Wade is cold, but he just looks like a more talented player today. So if Dwayne Wade doesn't even look like the best player on the court when playing against the Hawks, how can you even put him in the same class with Lebron or Kobe?

Obviously this is just one game...but no matter how bad the Cavs or Lakers are playing I don't think you ever question who the best player on the court is...except when they play each other of course.

What makes this performance even more funnier is this quote by Wade :

Heat guard Dwyane Wade will try to help his team advance past the Hawks in Game 7 on Sunday, but has taken the time to step back and be grateful of where he is right now.

Wade was marred by an injury-plagued 2007-08 season, in which Miami won just 15 games.

"A lot of things happen so fast in life, you don't reflect on them, but I'm taking the time to reflect right now on what I've been through to get to this moment," Wade said Saturday. "I think of my rehab, how hard it was, and how I thought, 'Man, if I'm going to work this hard, I'm going to make someone pay.' "
When asked by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel what he meant by that, Wade simply responded with, "It's Game 7."

:chuckles:

It looks like our next prey will be the Hawks. Bring em' on.

That foul by Haslem wasn't a flagrant 2, but I can see why they threw him out.
