Phoenix are our newest addition to our official RCF's Power Rankings.

We are looking for number 5 now, with Cleveland, Detroit, LA Clippers and New Jersey likely to figure in the voting.

Poll will be up soon.

Bump.....poll is up.

I took the LA Clippers.

I really like this squad. They have inside scoring, defense, perimeter shooters, slashers, experience, athletisism, good coaching, decent depth.

I disagree on the Clips.. Other than Ross, they have virtually no periemter defense.. Although, Livingston has the potential to be a really good defender.. Cassell/Maggette leave much to be desired..

I love their front court, and Sam Cassell is really a playoff made performer..

I beleive the Cavs could take them if our frontcourt actually showed up.. Gooden gets murdered by Brand about as much as he gets murdered by JO7..

We have the game breaker though..

I see Corey Magette as a decent defensive player as well as Mobley. With Brand, Kaman and now Aaron Williams in the post, defense shouldn't be a big issue.

Cleveland do have that take over the game guy advantage, but I just took the Clips by the smallest of margins.

Livingston should have a breakout season, and Brand is always a solid player, Sam is always a great player to have, and Kaman is a tough player, i can see them being #5.

Call me a homer, but I voted Cleveland. The Clippers are a strong choice, but I think that the Cavs have made some solid pick ups in the off season without losing anyone. One could argue the Clips were just as much in contention as the Cavs last year, but I would give the Cavs the edge mainly because of Lebron. The Clippers have some nice talent, especially Brand, but no one of that superstar caliber who you can trust with the ball down by 1 with 8 seconds to go.

The Pistons are a legit pick here too, but I think them losing Big Ben hurts. He was to the Pistons D what Lebron is to the Cavs O, he cleaned up and made up for their mistakes. I don't think the Pistons D is going to be anywhere near as good without Ben Wallace.

As for the other teams, Jersey is just getting older and haven't been able to get it done with the Kidd/Jefferson/Carter combo. The Bulls deserve some consideration based on roster alone, but they have yet to prove anything.

I think Detroit will still be tough without Big Ben, and I voted for them here. I think he's a little overrated, and i dont think he'll be as effective in Chicago.

Sure the Cavs can be better than the Pistons this year, but beating Detroit will still be tough.

Well one vote is splitting the Cavs and Clippers. I will be closing this poll soon, so get your votes in please.
