All Star Game| Sunday Feb. 15th, 2009| 8:00pm [et]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
this press conference on ESPN with Shaq & Kobe is pretty funny. they asked each of them if being out their together made them miss playing with each other and each bluntly just said "no"

nothing about this weekend stands out. maybe that had to do with Amare watch going on but i doubt it. next year though, in Dallas, with LBJ in the dunk contest may be different.

Lebron missing thoughs dunks at the end was shocking. The last one was nice....even though the defense just let him have it!!:chuckles:

damn, i came. his mouth is above the rim..

The little lady and I hung out with her best friend from work tonight, get this: African-American couple, three sons... and they DIDN'T have the All Star Game going. They also ran out of hot sauce.

I almost revoked their black cards and turned them in. :chuckles:

I'm watching the TNT replay and eating "hot cheese" popcorn right now at home... but its just not the same. I'm really dissapointed in that family right now.

Tell me about the meal. Was collared greens, fried chicken, gizzards, sweet potatoes or at least watermelon featured? Did you guys drink Kool-Aid?

The food was legit:

Pork roast, white beans simmered all day with bacon, white rice with heaving helpings of Country Crock, candied yams FROM the CAN, blush wine. Still, running out of hot sauce when you KNOW you are cooking soul food and hosting? And I've long believed the NBA All Star game had, like, Super Bowl-level importance in African-American culture. I was seriously excited about this.

Then I found out they were Tivoing the game.

The sting remains.
