I thought Kyrie Irving was in the skills challenge?

Dammit, didn't read your entire post. Sorry

On NBA.com it says this:

Due to injury, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors will not be able to defend his Taco Bell Skills Challenge title against a field consisting of Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, John Wall of the Washington Wizards, Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Deron Williams of the New Jersey Nets. Instead, Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics will compete in Curry's place. The 2012 Taco Bell Skills Challenge will take place on Feb. 25, at Amway Center in Orlando.

Scared me for a second. Excited about this tonight. Thought there was normally 4 in the skills?

This year's Taco Bell Skills Challenge will feature an expanded field from five to six participants.

two thoughts:

1; surely jerry stackhouse is not still an active player?
2; maybe allan houston can sort out fields clunky shot and get him back to his rookie form

You might be.. I love it. Hate not seeing the Cavs for a week, but the guys get some much needed rest. Plus we get entertained.

I read John Hollinger's article on ESPN and he didn't have Irving in it. I don't know what to believe...

EDIT: Ok so Irving is in, I just re-read Hollinger's article and they edited it, replaced Nash with Irving. So it was a typo on Hollinger's part. I will edit the original post...

Also don't forget that the dunk contest is just one round this year (3 dunks) and it is entirely fan vote.

I'd pick westbrook for the skills challenge, but apparently they we'll be using Kevin Durant to catch passes this year instead of the tires....
