The Browns have been blessed with a veritable Wall of Malik up front in the veteran Malik Jackson and the redemption story of Malik McDowell. Let's start a thread for these starting defensive tackles.

Tyrod Taylor on playing the Browns front four:

They have one of the better fronts in the league. You have Myles Garrett, who's a premier pass rusher, and Clowney who has played a number of downs on this league and is still a top pass rusher in this league. It's not just two of them — they have the two Maliks up front who are good at rushing the passer and getting after the quarterback. They're a feisty defense, and we have to be clean in protection as well as the run game.

Since my wife and I moved into our house, we've had intermittent problems with the kitchen sink. It clogs often. I've tried every home remedy to fix it. Salt, vinegar, boiling water. Typically after a lot of boiling water, I can get the drain back open and things progress for a few months until it comes back. During these incidents, often times there will be a leak from one of the gaskets or something and I've disassembled and re-assembled the PVC pipes more times than I can count. One thing that finally made a huge difference was buying a little rubber gasket to replace the hard plastic ones. That thing worked like a miracle. Well, finally I hit a clog I couldn't fix. I tried my auger and sewer jetter but couldn't make it around the tight pipes so I called a plumber. I basically told him about the clog, what I did to fix it, and also that it seemed like the sink leaked a bit around the seal at the top. I let him know that this clog specifically needs a sewer jetter

Well, on his first trip out he didn't bring a jetter. He just brought an auger and it couldn't get the clog out. Second time he finally listens to me and brings a sewer jetter. Well, it turns out the clog was a beast. He took a solid two hours of snaking that drain to break through the tightly packed grease and shit that's been there for years. When he finally got the clog out, he told me how far down the drain it was--it wasn't in the 1.5 inch pipes--it was in the 2 inch piping before it opened up to the 3" pipes. He gave me some advice about bio-clean and then left.

Well, I filled up the sink to run a full tub of water through the drains. As I walk away I hear a little drip-drip-drip from underneath the sink. It turns out that drip was coming from the seal at the top--the thing I told the plumber about to begin with. So I called him back up and I told him "Hey, you did a great job with that clog. But, what about Malik?"

Ha - you typed all that out for that shitty punchline? :chuckle:

Such a classic joke that can leverage all kinds of words for that last line....

Hope they get better through the season. Watching WFT last night....woah - that is a defensive front. Its offensive how dominant they are.

Well yeah, WFT has the best defensive line in football. We will not be that good--specifically at DT. Payne and Allen are just world-beaters in there.

But, put us up against an offensive line like NYG and we can wreak havoc as well. We had insane pressure stats against the Chiefs and I expect that to continue as long as McDowell, Myles and Clowney stay healthy.

Malik Jackson scored a 67.0 after one week on PFF -McDowell rocked an impressive 83.0 in his first game.

Let's see how they fare against a ho-hum left guard Max Scharping, converted tackle in Tytus Howard, and recently un-retired Justin Britt at center.

Converted? Wasn't Tytus drafted as a tackle just recently? I feel like he was in the same class as Andre Dillard with Philly.

Yep, and Pro Football Focus ranked him 61st-best tackle out of 79 qualifiers. So, now he's a terrible guard instead of being a terrible tackle.

Seemed like the right time to start talking about the defensive tackles, because I think we are in for a treat this Sunday.

Hot damn--I had no idea they moved him inside this year.

Damn you, you beat me to it. Was gonna say that totally reminded me of Norm's moth joke...

His moth joke was just one of many jokes like that. I do love me some Norm McDonald, he was always one of my favorite comedians, had no idea how loved he was until he passing.
