Amare might be available?.......In related news, i just heard I won 10 million british pounds in the Nigerian Lottery.

Haha you guys all hate but as soon as the Cavs are mentioned in one of those rumors you'll be interested.

Difference between interested and observant. We already went through this.

This again... We got Shaq who plays Defense! Say no to Amare he does not know the word Defense Im glad we did not get him at the deadline the past season. Shaq fits much better here anyways. I say lets get Troy Murphy for JJ and sign and trades, a draft pick and call it a day. We know the cavs do not like to draft anyways so why not give the first rounder away.

The Suns are 10-15 in their last 25, just saying, looks like they have cooled off big time since their hot start. If the losing continues, you can bet he'll be on the market.

Defensively Troy Murphy is so bad he makes Amare look like KG, don't knock Amare for defense then bring up Troy. Keep in mind, Amare put 49 on Troy's head last year.

I don't know if Amare will be traded, but if he is it will only be to a contender, he already vetoed a trade to the Warriors because they're not a contender. I think he'll be moved to Houston to be honest....

Ah man, not cool. I was expecting some good information only to see a post of regurgitated trade ideas from this forum by a poster we refer to as "he who we do not speak of".

:chuckles:

Yes, he probably will be shopped a little bit after the Suns hear that he'll only come back next summer on a Maximum Contract. What people should keep in mind is that the Suns don't own their #1 pick this year, and that they made a commitment to Nash to not rebuild during his last few years (which was a big factor in him re-signing).

So they're not going to tear it apart and try to rebuild unless someone offers them the moon (something like 2 guaranteed lottery picks this year and another lottery player picked in the last 1-2 years).

If I were betting on likely destinations should Amare be traded, I'd guess Washington.

As it relates to the Cavs, I just don't see us having the pieces to fit what PHX would want to accomplish in trading Stoudemire, unless a 3rd team was involved.

Any chatter regarding the Suns? Will Amare be shipped out now that the Suns are falling back down to Earth?

Yes. I was skeptical last week when I did my trade story. But since then I've had several signals come out of Phoenix that Amare is available for the right price. I think the Suns are really concerned that he wants to leave for a bigger market. I would've said last week there was a 10 percent chance he gets traded. I'd up it to 40 to 50% now based on what I'm beginning to hear.

This thread will not end well.

I could see Miami ending up with Stoudmire. Beasley would be very intriguing for the Suns. He is putting up like 16/7 in 32mpg and is only 21 years old on a 2 year deal. Then you add something like QRich's expiring contract and maybe a pick.

While people in Ohio nearly killed themselves in all the hype of Amare possible coming to the Cavs last year, the truth still remains that the Cavs and the Bulls were the only teams left in the running, and Amare's value is definitely lower this year due to the eye injury, the fact that he's not yet in his peak form in terms of athleticism due to the long layoff after the surgery and obviously the free agency this summer.

To be honest I don't think it's realistic, not because we don't have the assets to get him, but cause I just don't see Ferry bringing the whole Suns' starting frontcourt to the Cavs in a matter of months. Same way I didn't see a possibility of getting Redd after we got Mo. And you gotta remember, while Amare has fantastic range on his jumper, it's not an amazing consistent shot, mainly cause he shoots like a guard, not a bigman. His game is still mostly down in the paint, and with Shaq and LeBron on the same team I doubt there's space for a 3rd guy to operate down there.

While it's definitely not a move anyone in Cleveland should expect, you gotta remember there's 3 young star power forwards who will probably have new teams next year; Bosh, Amare and Boozer. Bosh and Amare will go to the short list of teams they'd re-sign with, so if Miami is getting Bosh we have a much better chance at Amare, and if Miami is getting Amare we got a much better chance at Bosh.

Plus Danny Ferry and Steve Kerr are tight lil homies.

.

I agree with the rest of your post..but here is where I disagree...

Amare's jumper makes up 54% of his offense and he shoots it at 48%. Not only did he do fine next to Shaq when he went there, he played some of the best ball of his career. Amare and Shaq is a perfect front-court offensively, but it needs to be protected by the perimeter defensively though, and the Suns couldn't do it. Delonte/Moon/Bron/Amare/Shaq would probably decimate teams. It would be unbelievable.

Now, I don't think he's a realistic option, so that's that.
