Anderson Varejao Trade Ideas

If we have kyrie, shabazz, thompson, and pekovic i say we twll him to come in for his interview at the Q and then there gilbert, grant, an Company could tell him to kiss our ass and take your ass back to an aging heat team we dont need you.

Sorry, but that is foolish. If he really came here with the intent to sign and you didn't want him. You just sign him up for the 4 years you are allowed to and then trade him at the earliest it is possible under the CBA. With over 3 left on his contract at the time, you could certainly get more assets for him then the cap space it took to sign him is worth. I get so tired of people be so prideful that they'd make decisions that are not in the best interests of the club.

I would lose all respect for Dan Gilbert if he took LeBron back-- so would a lot of other people too.

If OKC won't part with the Tor pick then Bos makes the most sense.

Bradley, Sully, and Lee or Bass for AV.

I want to mention something else I forgot to say the first time. That's the absolute worst thing he could do unless he had blown out his knee. We need him to opt out in 2014 whether he were to sign here or not. Do you not remember that we own the 2015 Heat first round pick? What do you think happens if Lebron leaves that team? Perhaps, Bosh leaves it too seeing the writing on the wall and leaving just an older Wade behind. I want every once of talent that can be lost by Miami to be lost. That pick might end up middle of the round instead of the end with the right circumstances. You need to be thinking ahead.

Bradley, sully and bass? Sign my ass up.
cant wait for real trade talks to pop up, will be some fun to talk about for a week or two

Here's a question: Is that pick unprotected?

If so, LOL Miami.

I believe it is top 10 protected. But, it does eventually become unprotected. Best part would be the fact that we'd have the player and they'd still owe us the draft pick for him. :chuckles:

Gilbert lost pretty much all the respect he had league wide when he wrote his letter, he could probably handle the loss of respect from you.

I don't think Dan Gilbert would take him back; as we know, he has a lot of pride.....

I dont give a crap about what respect the league has for Gilbert. He still has the respect of the Cleveland fans...

You dont build a team for Lebron. He ha already shown he is not a trustworthy partner. Its like building a house for your ex-wife in her favorite colors, thinking she is going to come back to you.... after she married some other guy.

You build a long term organization on good decisions, flexibility, contingency plans, solid people you can trust. We cannot know today that Shabazz is even available when we draft. You look at the situation, in this case, the window to trade Andy.

I am not a big fan of trading Andy for Rudy, but I would never give up a lottery or near lottery pick for him. Same with Gasol for that matter. But if you can get Rudy for Andy, and maybe include Gibson and get a young player back, well that is not a disaster deal. I still like OKC best, I still think Golden State is a possibility, and I am interested in the Minny deal if it includes Pek and The Gingerbread man. Derek Williams is interesting only if I flip him somehow.

There's a difference between building a team for LeBron and signing him if he's available.
