Annual RCF Rate My Team/Who to Play Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My team has been dominating everyone lately, but decided not to show up for the second game of the playoffs. Fuck.

Need 40 points out of Forte and Jimmy Graham to make it to the championship game. .25 PPR.

I told ya'll Derek Anderson was going to be a good play this week.

Anyway, my fantasy report...

I am up 129-102 in my PPR league. I am done. He has Matt Forte. This could go either way. Didn't get much from Charles, Megatron, Nelson, or Gordon yesterday, which was rough. My MVPs were LeVeon Bell and the Ravens defense. :chuckle:

I've already won this week in my .5 PPR league. I have 112.10 and he has 61.30. He's done and I still have Jeffrey and Graham left to play tonight. Antonio Gates was his only player that notched double digits. That's just rough, especially for a playoff game. Every one of my players that has played so far was in double digits.

The less said about my twelve team league the better. I didn't make the playoffs and I got smoked in round one of the loser's bracket last week (winner of that gets their money back). This week was meaningless, so I totally started Johnny Football and that did not work out for me. Not that it mattered.

You were right about Derek Anderson for sure...might be a great play next week too depending on just how banged up the Browns are.

F yeah Ravens D. I bet everyone in my work league hates me, IDGAF about it any more since I'm out of contention, but I currently have three good defenses in a league where a lot of people were streaming defenses :)

Probably has something to do with you being out of contention.

So.. Down 4 points in my PPR league with only Alshon left for me and no one for him.

Feeling pretty good about going to the title game unless he gets hurt early on. :bling:

Meh....hard to say. I was good enough all season to not get the really good WW pickups, in a league where the people at the top of the WW list were actually taking advantage of it.

My horrible drafting was way more responsible for my crummy team.

I hear ya, one of the leagues I've been in forever switched over to FAAB as good teams were getting hosed on waiver wire pick ups. I highly recommend it over traditional waivers.

Why would you even try and jinx yourself????

:runaway:

Yeah, that's what screwed me in my twelve team league, which does a snake draft. LeSean McCoy first overall. Julio Jones was mostly mediocre all year until the past few weeks when it was too late to help (non-PPR format). Toby Gerhart was basically the worst running back of all time. Nick Foles got hurt midway through a decent QB season. Cordarrelle Patterson was not so much a sleeper as a coma patient. Wes Welker has had so many head injuries that he apparently forgot how to play football. Ugh.

I honestly don't think I ever want to be in a league with a snake draft again. You're just so much at the mercy of the intelligence of the people ahead of you, and the guy you want is always picked one spot ahead of you. At least with an auction draft I can own up to my mistakes. I did three auction drafts (two paid, one free ESPN one because I was bored one night) and one snake draft this year. I am in the finals in one of the auction leagues and waiting on the results of tonight's game to find out about the other two. I missed the playoffs entirely in the snake league. I don't think that's a coincidence.

Gerhart was completely your fault. And I would throw Welker in there, too. But your other picks you had to think everything was going to be okay.

I have never done a non-snake draft and I actually prefer it. Some people prefer to be top 3 to get one of the best RB's off the top. Others prefer 12 to get back-to-back players. I like it a lot.

What makes any draft is getting the guys in later rounds that will sprout to be notable fantasy players. I got Jeremy Hill in the 8th, Mike Evans in the 9th and Martellus Bennett in the 10th. All who have been great for me.

I may try auction one day, but for now our league has been strictly snake.

Well, I drafted Welker as like my fourth or fifth receiver after Bryant, Jones, Patterson, and Hopkins, so I don't think he was really a mistake so much as a massive disappointment after last year. I didn't draft him high and expect to start him immediately, but I did think he could have morphed into a solid WR3 as the season wore on. Not even close.

As for Gerhart...yeah, I'll own that one. That said, I thought he would be a mediocre running back at worst, not an absolutely disaster. I ended up getting Ben Tate for his good two or three game stretch and then CJ Anderson after that, but it was really McCoy who submarined me all year.

Really, my waiver wire work was better than my draft. I was one win away from making the playoffs thanks to pick-ups like Anderson, Palmer, and Evans. Palmer tearing his ACL really hurt me down the stretch. He gave me consistency that I just didn't get from Tannehill, his replacement.

Not happy with the news of Murray having surgery on his hand. He's my top scrorer. I still have McCoy Anderson and gore. I just hope he's healthy.

Woo! Finals, baby!

Made the finals in all three leagues where I qualified for the playoffs (two paid, one free).

Won my free league match-up 242-208 (it's the dumb two week playoff set-up) against the best team in the league despite starting Johnny Manziel in week two for zero points. :chuckle:

Won my .5 PPR league match-up 139.10-61.30 and go on to play the best team in the league. Too bad I didn't play him this week, because I would have won.

Won my PPR league match-up 129-113 against the best team in the league. I only put up 129 points (low for my team, especially since I dropped 215 last weekend), but that was somehow the highest point total in the league this week. Must have been tough times all around.

In the finals in both my leagues.

Was down by 12 going into MNF with Forte, Bennett AND Shayne Graham. I was still losing at halftime. Scared me for a minute.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
