The DSN network is reporting that the Cavs might be real close to trading Jamison. I knew teams out there might be wanting this guy as he could help a good team in the playoffs. Who do we think the team might be? He's got a hefty contract we get off the books which is a very good thing.

Lakers?
Celtics?
Magic?
Dallas?

That search might be popular real soon. :)

if the magic pick him up that would be a very, very scary team

Doug...

Im kinda hurt right now. I was hoping to see some details and some sources.

However if this comes to pass soon, I will be happy forever more. How my heart yearns to no longer see Antawn Jamison play like a 6'10 sg

Sam The Bullshit Whisperer just said the Cavs have been in talks with a Western Conference team about Mo Williams........

As much as I am ready for this rebuild to start - this team is going to be UGLY without Jamison's ability to score.

Jamison has been playing really good lately. Be a great time to trade him. It looks like he got his game back and his value might not ever be higher this year.

I just read about the Artest/Jackson feud....I wonder if that could be a possible location. Sure hope we don't land Artest, he's pissed off on a winning team in LA, I can only imagine him here. Plus his contract has 4 years on it.

Sorry, no sources other than the host this morning claimed he had sources that told him a deal was near. That's all I got, but this was serious. Besides, it's not at all surprising that some team out there is more than willing to take his contract in the hopes of putting them in nice shape for the playoffs. The guy can still do some ballin no matter if his defense is suspect. He would make a great 7th man off the bench for instant scoring and drawing fouls. We also know the Cavs are certainly trying to move him and his fat contract. Even if we could get a late 1st round or a second round pick for him, it would certainly be worth it.

I believe this rumor is serious.

He makes sense for the magic. They always like putting a stretch 4 in that line up and Bass has been starting and doesnt have 3 point range. Not sure what they have to give us though unless its a 3 way trade. Maybe they give up Anderson, but the only big matching contracts would be arenas, richardson or turkoglu which seems counter productive as they aquired these players recently and are all important parts of the rotation. Maybe Nelson and we give them one of our 428 small pg's like sessions. I am just thinking out loud here. Not sure a team with MO and Nelson makes sense though.

Just thinking out loud here.

With caron butler out and dirk hurting I can see jamison in Dallas.

It would be a nice replacement for Rashard Lewis's shooting. Too bad they still didn't have Marcin Gortat.

Thinking about Mo and the Lakers, etc, and I'm wondering if some kind of huge trade with three or four teams is in short order?

I was messing around on the trade machine. Its almost impossible for the Cavs to get anything good from the Lakers. I think there has to be another team or two involved. But what's hard is it probably won't be another contending western conf. team. Plus the Lakers don't have any decent SF to offer other than Artest.

Maybe the Cavs can position themselves in a trade where they can force a team to take multiple players (moe, jamison) to prevent another team from getting the other one. They're both pretty good, not stars. For instance the Lakers or Dallas will take both to prevent the other team from getting one of them.
