I didn’t know where to post this (mods feel free to move) but I will be moving from Japan to the NY starting next month after being here in Japan for the past 15 years. I never found any Cleveland fans all these 15 yrs in Japan and ironically I just met recently few days ago a Japanese person wearing an OBJ jersey who is a fan of Cleveland Browns (doesn’t speak English).

Anyways, I never get to meet any Cleveland fans and was wondering if there are any places where Cleveland fans hang out or any recommendations in NY/NJ area in general? It would be a cool to get a drink and watch Cleveland games some day. Any recommendations in watching Cleveland games would be helpful too.

Very excited that Cavaliers preseason starts tomorrow.

So i tell ppl this all the time but they never do it.

New York area is a melting pot. Meaning on any day you can probably find anyone from any city in America while in New York. Just get on a app and say you wanna watch a Cavs game. If no one bites look for a sports bar with over 10 televisions. I say that because if the place has so many TVs they will likely let you use one to watch whatever game you like. Buffalo Wild Wings usually have league pass and that’s where i went to watch games when i lived away from Ohio. Top Golf will have that many televisions too. I think they have those in NJ.
Basically look for any sports bar

Google Browns backers. There are hundreds of chapters all over the USA and in many foreign countries. There is a Browns Backers bar a block from Herald Square in NYC. I'm currently a member of Browns Backers Philadelphia and previously was a member in Cincinnati. You get to meet Browns fans who might also get together for Cavaliers games (the bar in NYC also has Cavs games).

The Liberty NYC - Big Apple Browns Backers. Went there for week 2 v Texans, by the 1pm kickoff the place was full 100% with Browns fans.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I was surprised after googling how it’s really pretty much Cleveland fans. Really appreciate it.

Glad to help. I’ve had great experiences with Browns Backers clubs. Also, I’ve found Browns fans get a lot of respect in the Philly - NJ -NY area because we‘re perceived as true fans and not bandwagoners. Enjoy your trip back to the USA.
