anyone started an ASSOCIATION???

sorry to make another 2k9 thread but i wanted to make a new thread just for association 2.0...
i started one with the cavs which i'm 6-3...here is something i posted in the other thread


i started my association & i'm 6-3...i lost to the celtics,hornets & bucks(i know but villa was lighting wallace up)...i just almost lost to the nuggets(i was down by like 15 but kept playing d & letting mainly lebron & Z take over)...AI is almost unstoppable vs ANYONE on him, i had to put kinsey to slow him down for like 3mins...i'm not even going to front, these game hard very challenging & you HAVE TO PLAY D...mo knock down some good shots in the 4th but i struggle with him...i like to run point with him b/c he has a good IQ with passes & everything

lebron is the league leading scorer as while as Z(ranking 4th in the league)...jj is solid to averaging 13.0ppg & WAS the rookies leading scorer but after the nuggets game he drop from 13.7ppg to 13.0ppg then MAYO took the leading scores...BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO YOU GET ALL-STAR VOTES FROM THE FANS??? nobody from the cavs is voted not even lebron??

so what you been up 2 in your association mode???

i started one with the cavs and was then i started playing with the bucks but accidently overwrited it. I just simulated to get back to where i was and Z is out for 3 weeks.

what diffuculty level are you on?

dam that is messed up...but i am on all-star level(8 mins) for now...last year i was on HOF but this year every level is harder....i'm going get better on all-star level & by at least mid-season(in 2k9) i will try to switch to superstar or HOF(thats if i improve)....defense it very important in this game which is a good thing..

i was also planning on starting one with the buck but they have a boring team other than redd & joe alexander!....i may trade for redd or vc but i am 50/50 b/c i want to keep it realistic

ya i like to keep it realistic and the only reason i started playing with the bucks is cuz of my man Joe. I live in WV so obviously i have become a fan of Milwaukee. I also like redd and jefferson but i mainly played cuz of joe

I'm 0-7 on Pro in my association... I guess I fuc--ng suck, lol. I have the game tied going into the 4th and I get clobbered in the fourth almost every game by the computer.

Not sure what I can do... I shoot over 50% and the computer shoots 62% every game. I guess maybe I should read the manual to see what the buttons are for playing more effective defense. I get in the shooters faces and jump and they still hit all their threes right over my head. I haven't touched the sliders.

Actually if you took away the computer's 3 pointers they'd probably score 20 points instead of 50. That's how I get beaten every single game.

wow it is VERY HARD to win these game that why i take it game by game......you have to be on top of your game....almost every game me & the cpu was going head to head with baskets after baskets....

cavs. i had to sim and z got hurt. but i beat the bulls. I was down by 10 start the 4th and came back. It seems like im doing that every game.

Yeah man. I seem to be down alot too in the 4th quarter. I was down 15 or 16 against the Bobcats in the 4th but I played solid D and beat them by 2 or so. Its a very hard game if you wanna win. Im 4-0 right now but I dont think I'll stay undefeated b/c They seem to make fricking everything.

I have a question. Do the opposing pg's get like 15 or more assists against you too or do I just suck guarding the point?

ya that happens to everyone i think. Ramon Sessions just set the bucks record with 18 but i still won. I think its cause in this game the computer runs alot of plays and not iso's or post ups

i didn't really check the PG assists but i remember Ai had a double-double on my(in pts & assissts) which i could never stop him whit who ever on him...maybe chris paul did b/c the hornets was lighting me up!

i think i may have to trade someone by mid-season b/c we have a team that have trouble creating for themselves......if there is a trade i want pav(he wants a bigger role even though he sucks),wally(can't create neither defend the 2guard spot) & kinsey(he wants a bigger role) out....i may try to trade for a rookie like cdr,rush,courtney lee???

i may just give trade my picks b/c i can care less about a unrealistic draft!

ooo yea i remember seeing ramon sessions setting the bucks assist record of somewhere from 18-20!!! this game is funny but decent

one thing i like about it,is the fact that screens actually make sense now & actually works now(it comes in VERY handy!)

ya i love he screens. i always do it with jj cuz he will dunk on anyone. Z is out 1-2 weeks. It was 2-4 at first. I like to keep the team exactly how it is in real life or else it just doesnt seem right to me. Do not trade west for frye. I played with frye on the blazers once and wow i can not stand him. To small for pf or c. He is like 6' 9". That might not be to small but if you have that height you better have some muscle. He doesnt have enough handles to play SF obviously. So no do not trade west for him.

i understand exactly what you mean....it wouldn't seem right for me thats why i seem kind of shaky...but i will keep you updated with any trades...wright has been playing solid for me which i play him when i need rebounds,solid d & some scoring(maybe like 5mins for the whole game)...i may put him in when i feel jj may not be able 2 get the job done considering he is still a rookie
