Jets fans are going apeshit over Darnold. He had 10 of his completions at 6 yards or less. It was like they were running those "let's get him some confidence" plays the entire time.

With Hue Jackson coaching, I think it's prudent to take whatever optimistic projection we might have and cut it in half.

His leash is too tight. Fired at 0-4 for sure. Fired if we get blown out twice. Fired if he doesn’t have 4 wins at the bye week.

I'm praying that most people realize that this is an endurance thing and not a sprint with the damn qb's.

Because I can see Darnold getting off to a hot start and seeing all these people with bad takes going after Mayfield, Dorsey for not picking him at 1.

I think the Jets can get away with starting Darnold right away and not doing any damage to their bottom line. While not a "great" team by any stretch? They're probably farther long as an organization than the Browns are right now.
