So if we kept Love and signed melo does he start at the 2? I have a hard time seeing him agree to take less money to come here and play off the bench. Not that it matters. The 2 and 3 are basically the same position but that would mean either he or lebron would have to be the primary defender.

I'd prefer him to take on the Ginobili role and be the ultimate 6th man.

However, it could work with him starting.

Yep... defensively it'd suck... It's one of the reasons a George acquisition is so important. It's also another reason the Cavs might want to see if the Clippers would do a Jordan/Thompson swap if there are no better offers for him.

There's no way and no reason the clippers would do that.

Bro.. Clippers might be staring at an immediate rebuild and Jordan has one year left. If they don't get assets for him now, he'll walk for nothing. I'm not arguing it's the best deal for them, but there's absolutely reason for them to entertain it, even in the form of a 3-team deal with someone like Phoenix.

If Blake and CP re-sign, I expect DeAndre to re-sign as well.

And, if Clippers do end up trading DeAndre it would be for wings.

Yeah, that I agree.

This only comes into play if Blake and CP don't re-sign.

But even then, I am sure they can get draft picks instead of someone like TT who doesn't really move the needle much. There would be teams who would be willing to give up picks for DeAndre Jordan.

And if they really want players, they might be able to get some in a three team deal.

Saying there's no possible framework for such a deal doesn't make sense in the current context of what we know.
