BARON DAVIS TRADE SAFARI AND SUICIDE WATCH ALL IN ONE !!!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Baron #85
Erden #86

It's like Clarence Weathers and Brian Brennan all over again. We just need Harangody to step up with #84 and play the Webster Slaughter role.

Ha, Baron will wear #85? Probably the number of reasons he doesn't want to be in Cleveland. You know he had to be pumped stepping off the plane into this weather.

I'm thanking this post because your avy and status are fucking awesome :chuckles:

Little confused still... what did the Hamilton deal entail (as far as talent influx on our end) all I'm seeing or hearing was one future first round pick that may or may not have been lottery protected. I wouldn't really consider that an influx of talent but perhaps I'm just getting bogged down in semantics...

But since it's basically a trade then buyout of someone that's rotting on the bench, it's something that we could very well easily come back to in the offseason for the TPE correct? Then again a lottery protected #1 doesn't seem like much though (or is it?)

The Jamison deal I was talking about was separate and with Golden State and could also be re-visited according to Windy I believe.

Quoting myself cuz that's how awesome I am.

But thinking about it, I'm still not convinced we heard about (the other team/what they were offering, that is) the trade Windy was talking about for our TPE that was to provide an influx of talent into Cleveland. A somewhat protected (not lottery-protected, as I believe I thought earlier) 2012 pick from Detroit and the Cavs buying out Rip Hamilton before he sets foot on the court is hardly what I would consider an influx of talent.

I just wonder if that offer for the TPE could be revisited in the offseason- like it appears the Jamison-to-the-Warriors will be and the Pistons/Hamilton theoretically could be.

I think he chose 85 because thats how many pounds he plans to gain over the summer, or quite possibly how many transition 3's he will miss

Baron Davis fat jokes! LOVE IT! :chuckles:

Someone should start a thread listing all of the possible things that the #85 could stand for...

The number 85 is paying homage to the last fat over-paid player in Cleveland: Kemp

85 is the number of children fathered by Kemp in Cleveland

On Cavs.com, Erden is listed to be wearing #9. He should have kept #86!

Man I hope that means GSW would just be absorbing Jamison (tho that's unlikely imo without an additional asset from CLE which they obv shouldn't send). It better not be a Beans/Jamison deal or something.

I'm thinking it was Jamison + ? for Murphy & Biedrins, but we wanted a pick to take on Biedrins contract & that's where it hit a snag.

First and foremost, I want to say thank you to the fans in LA and all of Clipper Nation. Not many guys get the chance to play at home in front of their family and friends the way I have been able to the past couple seasons, and I am grateful for that opportunity. My former teammates will always be my family, and I wish them and the organization nothing but the best.

I can't wait to join my new team, bring good energy and help us win games. I'm ready to call The Q home and bring some excitement!!!

See you soon Ohio! The Beard is on its way!

Baron is clearly fired up to be a Cavalier.... If by chance he wouldn't be, then he should channel his hate energy towards LeBron...

Cause THAT GUY pushed the first domino...

Well, if they traded Biedrins then they wouldn't have a center (unless they want to run a front court of Jamison and Lee:chuckles:)

I'm assuming they would make Biedrins available for Jamison in the off-season though if they thought they could get a center in free agency or by trading up in the draft. Otherwise....Jamison doesn't really make sense for them. But then again it's Golden State so who really knows...

But yeah, the Cavs should only take Beans if a 1st is coming too. That was true at the deadline and it's definitely true in the off-season. Hopefully he plays really poorly in the second half of the season and Jamison plays well so GS is even more tempted to do it.

"The Beard is on its way!"

There is a God!!! I want to see that glorious beard just once in wine and gold.

:werd:

I'd love to see the google search that turned up that pic! "Flamer on roller skates with a boombox"

That picture came up when I google image searched "baron davis".

That actually sounds like a big frontcourt for GS standards.
