Billy Preston: Most likely the next LeBron James

Is he working out with CJ miles? I love his s fluidity but he's not exactly explosive. I worry he will be a mirrange jumper dependent big. Hopefully when he gets to canton he will demonstrate a dribble drive game

Some refinements will be necessary, but this kid has all the physical tools to make it in the league.

Is he smart enough? Will he work hard enough? Does he have the "motor" to compete?

These are the questions that he'll need to answer in Canton if he hopes to crack our rotation. I'm hoping for the best.

I think it looks pretty good. But I can't say that it's legit until I see him shoot in the NBA.

Of course. That is the assumed premise that we're all operating with when analyzing ANY of our rookies.

So, that aside, he looks like his shooting could translate well.

I have very low expectations with Billy Preston. If the Cavs get anything out of the guy, it will be a pleasant surprise. The guy didn't even get a real spot on the team. It shouldn't be called a "2 way" contract. They should call it a "1/2 way" contract. Cavs seem a whole lot more invested in Isiah Taylor & Dakota Mathias that Billy, since they were offered real NBA contracts.

Could just be that they are not official signings because the Cavs are waiting on the Hood situation to resolve to sign Taylor & Mathias using a portion of the MLE for 3 year deals.

If he couldn't rebound I would be with you all the the way. Rebounding usually translates. IF he can rebound and shoot he is already better than 75% of "stretch 4's". There has been a lot of sacrificing of rebounding for guys that can shoot at the 4. His size is fantastic. He is big enough to play Center if he can figure the position out.

I dunno. He just looks like a talented high schooler to me. He needs a lot of playing time in the gleague, but his head is his biggest issue.
