Blake Griffin is bonkers.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I assume you're talking about 05-06, which would be the year Kobe was robbed of the MVP award.

Haha, yeah, that's for another discussion but let's just say they both deserved it more than Nash, ok? And LeBron DID finish second.

Blake Vs. Love tonight wish it was on t.v.
I'm looking forward to this one.... Gotta be honest, these two guys are guys that I enjoy watching....

I enjoy watching these guys more than the combo ball dominant scoring guards that are all the rage.... I like Westbrook, Rose, Wall etc... but there's something refreshing about Griffin and Love... Much better than force feeding the Mayo's and Evans' of the world...

I will say though, I do enjoy Eric Gordon's game in terms of the combo guards... He doesn't get the press because he's not the same type of ball handler, but he is an effortless scorer and is pretty fun to watch IMO....

Eh, I find Love a bit boring, although it is pretty damn funny watching him bullying through his teammates for rebounds :chuckles:

See, not just cause you're a Magic fan am I saying this, but because it's really true.... I can't stand watching Dwight Howard and players like that... There's only a select few athletic bigs that I'm on board with and Blake is definitely one of those guys...

I loved guys like Duncan, Hakeem, Robinson and to a lesser extent a younger Zo... Guys that could do a little bit of it all and in some of those cases, guys that could do virtually everything....

Blake excites me from the standpoint that he can lead a break... He can take his man off the dribble and his dunks are electric.. They're not the Shaq/Dwight power dunks... (That move Blake had on Gallanari was insane)

Kevin Love to me is just so fundamentally sound... His footwork, positioning, passing, shooting ability is just something that I appreciate.... He is one of the most unique players in the NBA because he's capable of putting up 35 with ease and yet snag 17-20 boards in the process.... He's not flashy at all but I can appreciate his entire game...He's such a throwback...

Meh, Dwight can do it all from 15 feet in, but it just looks ugly because of his long ass arms, way too goofy. . .

but watching Howard on the defensive end is a joy. And I'm not even talking about blocks, just his position and how he defends the PnR. . .

I might be biased on Love because I haven't watched too many games of him (maybe 5-7), and the ones that I did he got completely bullied by Bass/Dwight, but he wasn't very entertaining (again, asides from bowling through his own team for boards).

Griffin's game *looks* prettier than Dwight's though, that's for sure. . . in a year or two he might be more efficient too, that's scary

The Clips have a fantastic core. Gordon and Griffin are nice pieces to build around. And Baron Davis has been rejuvenated.

Im going to give the nod to Blake over Lebron-but dont get me wrong, Griffin could not have gotten that Cavs team anywhere near the playoffs like Bron did.

That was a crazy year...... granted they both put up ungodly stats but many couldn't see the MVP award going to a player on a 4 seed in the God-awful Eastern Conference (Cavs won 50 games; 5th seeded Wizards won 42) or a player on a seventh seeded team. Kobe probably had a better argument because the Western Conference was tougher and without him they would probably have been out of the playoffs. Same could possibly be said for the Cavs.

If anyone should have gotten that award, it should have been either Shaquille or Duncan.

Management will find someway to fuck this up. Los Angeles is a Lakers, Dodgers, USC, Kings (hockey), UCLA, Clippers town. They really have an opportunity to run with this ball but they have to win. I don't care how much makeup you put on Grace Jones, that bitch is still ugly. Same applies here. Bad ownership usually equals bad team. Gordon and Griff are two great starting pieces but they need more. They've already talked abut shipping Kaman out and Baron has a history of bad conditioning and plus he's long in the tooth.

Atmosphere around Staples at Clipper games and ten times better than at Laker games ....... Clipper Nation got a little momentum. Take away that 1-13 start, you have a team that's over .500

Just thought you guys out to know...

Blake is averaging 40/25 in my nba 2k10 (10-11) season for the Clips. 1st seed in the west.

I'm a Kobe on the Cavs, basically.

The Cavs won 35 games that year. We need to take into consideration that getting into the playoffs in the NBA is not some great accomplishment. I'm betting the Clips win more than 35 games this year, yet won't make the playoffs. Not sure it takes anything away from the Clips season compared to the 03-04 Cavs.

It most certainly is. . . what separates a superstar from a star is basically that, winning games. What's the point of putting up impressive stats if you're not helping your team win any games?

This isn't really towards Griffin though, he gets the rookie pass. It's more towards the Vince Carters, Al Jeffersons, Kevin Loves, and Kevin Martins of the world. . .
