Blegh. Cavs get worked over by T’Wolves, 124-95
Allie Clifton overcoming being hit on the head in a pregame report was the highlight of the game for the Cavaliers. This was horrible.
The Minnesota Timberwolves spit hot, hot fire all over the Cleveland Cavaliers for an entire game. They had more than 100 points after 3 quarters, Kevin Love finished with 33, 8 and 6, Ricky Rubio finished with 16, 16, and 6 and did not play in the fourth quarter. My grandmother also dropped 14, 9 and 3 in garbage time.
Corey Brewer helped the Wolves open up the game early with a huge first quarter, but it was really a total defensive breakdown by the Cavaliers against a Wolves team that was missing its second best scorer in Kevin Martin. The offense is an absolute mess, and we knew that a top five defense wasn’t sustainable. I’m not saying that Cavs fans need to start loading up the Riggin’ for Wiggins/Scandal for Randal/Not Performin’ For the Mormon campaign, but they’ve certainly not gotten what they’ve expected. The early season schedule hasn’t been fun, and there has to be some creativity injected into the offense. There’s no movement, and I feel like I could design a defense that would be moderately effective at shutting it down.
