Board & Card Games? Not Risk or Monopoly in here...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I actually posted like 6 or 8 questions on BGG. That really helped me fill in the gaps. Should anything else arise, I'll reach out, thanks!

If you have a larger group of people, definitely have someone play the politician. He's pretty fun - big fatcat smoking a cigar, and hugely valuable.

Just played Machi Koro, easy game to learn and very fast. We played two games in 25-30 minutes.

Just backed Arcadia Quest: Inferno on kickstarter. The late pledge was still open, and looked like tons of value. I have been contemplating getting the original for quite a while, so this seemed like a good jumping in point.

A question to the folks who post in here...

Do any of the board games you guys play seem like they'd be fun to play on a phone or tablet or even a PC? Like, do any of them lend themselves to the video game format, and also have no current video game implementation?

I will say this -- Cthlulhu Mythos games are very popular, and I am unaware of any decent implementations of them in terms of video games. And, I'm pretty sure almost the whole Mythos is in the public domain.

Pandemic, arguably the best board game, doesn't have a software version as far as I know. @gourimoko

Great tip..

I think Q-Tip pretty much figured out what I'm looking for; but Pandemic seems like a great concept. Any other games out there, maybe something that's fairly older?

These games are great - I really enjoy the deck-building engine in games anyways. There's like 4 different expansions now. I have several of the games. If you get one of the base games, you can purchase special "Crisis" packs where instead of facing against opponents, you work collaboratively to defeat the board itself.

JK they do for iPhone.

As far as older games I really wouldn't know. Sorry I can't be of assistance here.

Fuuuuuck. I wanna play munchkin now...

I had that game in grade school, might still be at my parents collecting dust.. Pretty sure you need friends to play that with though.

They do have a pandemic app but it kind of sucks. I love that game and would buy a video game version or something like it.

We're about to start Pandemic Legacy. If you can tolerate a game lasting several sessions (8-15 is the estimated, I think) that take place once every month or so, then go nuts. It's a much more permanent version; every decision you make has an effect on your character and the world.

Each game box is only meant to be played through once, so if you have the money to spend on what is essentially a season of a board game, I think Pandemic Legacy can be really...infectious.

No regrets on that last part.

I've actually been considering getting those. I've seen red and blue, have you played them both?
