Bosh tells Colangelo he won't resign

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
To all of you guys saying bosh might not be traded to us, but to a young team like Chicago please don't ever type again. Chicago has no chance to compete, especially in the East. They could make the playoffs, but not compete. So really there is no way a team that is rebuilding like Chitown trades away all of their young talent and only to lose Bosh in a year and a half.

The top teams there may only be three or four teams looking to get him. Pretty much us, Denver, NOH, and Portland.

Denver has a good big in Nene, and no good trading pieces to my knowledge outside of JR Smith. NOH have David West, and no big expirings for this year. Also they don't have a lot of really talented young guys. Portland has a million talented kids. But they also have one of those talented kids playing PF. And he plays for considerably less than Bosh would. This leaves us. A team with garbage at the PF spot, a few young pieces, expiring and picks.

In that same video Smith mentions that Shaq could be available. What if Shaq is some how traded to the Lakers. That would be the craziest thing ever. Especially because Bynum is hurt. Just another thought.

Chicago would actually be one of the last teams to worry about imo if they aren't willing to part with Rose which they wouldn't. What do they have? Deng is probably considered a bad contract as of right now because of injury problems and his play is down right now. Noah/Thomas are not better than AV/JJ, Nocioni is a bad contract, Hinrich is a bad contract and they already have Calderon. Hughes? :chuckles:, Gooden mid-size expiring, and last Gordon. Ben Gordon would have some value but they are gonna have to resign him for over 10m per season after this year.

Something of like Deng, Noah or Thomas, Hinrich and 2 1sts (which are MUCH better than CLE) for Kapono and Bosh.

AV + JJ + Wally + picks is too much, IMO.

Wally + JJ + 2009 1st + 2011 1st is the absolute most we should be paying for Bosh, IMO. I would rather keep AV than JJ simply because I think AV is more versatile than JJ (can play C or PF) and would be a better compliment to Bosh than JJ... JJ would be playing the same position as Bosh so I don't really see a need to have both of them. However, if for whatever reason Toronto would rather us trade AV than JJ that is fine too...

A big man rotation of Z, AV/JJ, Ben, and Bosh would be awesome.

There's no way in hell you aren't trading JJ AND Av for Bosh. That's crazy, and of course you'd do it.

Toronto never will, no way. It would still be one of the most one sided trades ever. Face it, we have nothing for Bosh.

You might also want to look at it from this perspective as well. Sure we have JJ, AV, Ben and Z as our bigs. So without trading one of them we have no room in the rotation for a big.

However that being said if we can do something like this (and this is the only way I trade JJ) then I would do it. It also might take a 3 team deal to get it done as well.

With no 3 team deal this might work out.
Bosh and Kapono to Cleveland for

Wally
AV
2 firsts
A second

We also have to take into consideration how long delonte might be out for as well (after he gets updates on his wrist). Not to mention if you are Ferry the only way you make a trade is to win a title now.

Noah and Thomas SUCK! Are you kidding me? Hinrich is an overrated bust, why do they need him?

It's not better than trading two actual valuable big man. Thomas and Noah aren't as good as Av, why would Toronto want that?

Deng is okay, but nothing to really drool over.

Chicago has nothing for him either.

I think it is too much to give them both up this year... what if we did that and Z/Ben/Bosh got hurt and only 2 of them could play. We thought we were short handed with Z out, well if we didn't have AV in that situation we would have been watching 20+ minutes of LW or DJ every night.

The only reason Toronto WOULDN'T trade Bosh before is the hope that they can get things turned around before the 2010 free agency. With a fan base that has seemingly turned on Bosh...I don't think they would be worried about keeping him to keep people in the seats....what would be the point.

Now, if they were smart...with the cap position they are in...they should trade him NOW...or ASAP to get the rebuild underway and make the next two years all about acquiring as much young talent and cap space as possible...ala the Trailblazers the past couple years.

Trading away assets like Jermaine O'Neil for Marion (huge expiring), Kapono (their only contract you could consider bad outside O'Neil) and Bosh would put them in a place to get a great deal of young talent the next two years in FA...as well as the talent they would get in return for the trades themselves.

Toronto may not be crazy enough to accept a Wally+JJ+picks for Bosh...but I would not go so far to say they wouldn't think about a Wally+Sasha+JJ+picks for Bosh+Kapono. They would have the flexibility to do A LOT in free agency, they would have two first round picks next year and probably one of the more coveted young bigs out of this previous draft class. Their rebuilding process would start to take on a very similar look to the Trailblazers IF they draft well.

I dont think its out of the realm of possibility if Bosh has made it clear he will not re-sign.

Let mike brown do some talking to bosh during the allstar weekend.... James can help......

only team that could give a better offer or WOULD give a better offer is portland...

JJ, Wally, Gibson, 2 first I dont see anyone offering more unless Det offerson Rip and stucky which I dont think they would....

I wish we could get bosh for wally, av and picks that would be awesome!! than next year trade ben for a SG/SF...

Step one has just gone down towards maybe a dream scenario coming to fuition ????

Hope so ....fingers and toes are crossed !!

Another thing to think about is they have a former 1st round pick in andrea who is a PF, they may want a big who is more of a center who can defend. That's where AV comes in. Not saying they wouldn't take JJ but if they were to deal Bosh my guess is there going to make Andrea there star player.

Toronto doesn't care about that. How bad would it be to not get Bosh, because of a thing like that? We can always sign some decent back up in the summer. You'll probably get pretty good value with MLE, with teams not reluctant to spend over that, even that at all maybe.

Toronto would never do that trade, so there's nothing to worry about. Toronto is not handing the cavs a title for the next 5 years.

Key word dream, we have nothing for him.

Ferry can want, beg, offer all he wants.

It's not happening.
