Bosh trade

On radio pre-game show ESPN's Rick Bucher said the Cavs have contacted the Raptors 2 C what it would take 2 get Chris Bosh in a sign & trade

doesn't matter.. the Cavs don't have the pieces to land Bosh.

I wonder how much we'd have to give up?

So does Chris Grant, hence the phonecall. :chuckles:

I'm sure we'll find out one way or another: either we see the actual trade and, obviously, the players along with it, or we get told a few months after an attempted trade on what went wrong, i.e. the STAT fiasco.

They most certainly do considering the Raptors have no leverage.

It's fun to think about, but I just can't see it happening. I mean what kind of package would we have to put together?

Something like JJ, Delonte, Mo, Green? Just tossing out ideas.

This is my first post and this idea might not seem realistic, but might be reasonable. here it is on bringing Chris Bosh to Cleveland for next season.

Trade #1
Cavs get:
Elton Brand
#2 Pick

Sixers get:
Jamison
Parker?

Trade #2
Cleveland gets:
Bosh

Toronto gets:
#2 pick
Hickson
Shaq (does a sign and trade to a 1 year contract to match salaries)

Thoughts?

That's realistic. We could then trade Brand to Miami for DWade, S&T Wally to Orlando for Dwight Howard, and package whatever we have left to New Orleans for Paul.

Something along those lines, yeah.

This thread was going absolutely nowhere until Bucher said that.

That's kind of what I figured. I thought maybe they might try and demand Andy.

If they want JJ, Delonte, Mo, and Green for Chris Bosh I do that trade 1 minute after the game tonight is over. I love JJ and I think Green has a pretty good future, but that is just a bunch of junk for Bosh basically.

You could do the trade now. Since both teams are out of the playoffs. Hence why the Dalembert to Kings trade happened earlier today

They most certainly do considering the Raptors have no leverage.

The raptors have no leverage if we are their only trading partner. I highly doubt that we are though. I can see many teams putting together some sort of package that is better than what we can offer. Someone brought up one that the magic would be able to offer that would wipe the floor with anything we could offer. It's depressing really...:(

I think that trade is just "agreed upon," but I get where you're going.

You don't understand.

Chris Bosh is entirely in control. He can give them a list of teams, but ultimately, he's going to decide where he wants to go.

If Bosh says "Trade me to Cleveland to play with LeBron" the Raptors have no leverage.

The only way this happens is if Lebron convinces Bosh to force his way to Cleveland and not settle for anything else. In that case, Toronto will make us take Turkoglu in the deal or they'd let Bosh walk for nothing.

I'd love to see it but the odds are very low.
