The shitty part about this is the steelers will miss Brady in week 1.
Of course. How I could think the Steelers wouldn't get every break imaginable.Hate to burst your bubble, but Brady's four games won't include the preseason.
His first back, if the 4 games stand, will be against the Colts in week 5.
So they won the game by like 30 points because the balls were deflated slightly?
And the deflated balls in that game somehow also helped them beat Seattle?
If drinking a beer costs Josh Gordon a season because he's a repeat offender, then the Pats deserve a stiffer penalty for being repeat cheatersBased on the texts included in the report, I think you'd have to conclude that this was ongoing cheating, not just a one game incident. There was an equipment guy who literally referred to himself as "the deflator."
So while the deflated footballs may not have been necessary to win that one game, who knows how many passes Brady's receivers caught last year (or other years, even) because the football wasn't fully inflated?
Also worth noting that the Patriots likely got hit harder than they might have otherwise because they are both repeat offenders and probably also because everyone spent the past few weeks joking about how the NFL would just sweep this under the rug.
I hate Boston as much as any Clevelander but I think this is the dumbest thing. In the report it said "more than probable" but it's not definitive. If I'm going to suspend someone, I would need the concrete cold hard facts that he 10000% knew the balls were being deflated.
If you take it to court, and tell the jury "He most likely did it, but there is still that small grey area", that guy is off scotch free. It's Goddell trying to make himself look good. Sorry but this is a crock.
More like they are starting the year @ QB the way the Browns usually end it?It looks like the Patriots are following the Browns philosophy, by starting the season without a Quarterback.
