We basically gave out 4 picks. That's cool.

Only thing I don't like is the swap. Hopefully we will be good and it wont be important by then.

Yeah don't get that: they already got a first with the Sac pick

We probably were never going to see that Sac pick until it turned into a 2017 2nd rounder. 2nd rounders are mostly useless anyways. The pick swap won't matter much if we go according to plan. Plus the Bulls should be able to make the playoffs in 2015 anyways because the east is so bad.

If everything that has been reported is true then the Cavs made out like bandits.

the swap is lottery protected, not much to worry about, unless the bulls are very good in 2015 it wont make much of a difference

bad news is earl clark is still on the team

Sucks worse because Mike Brown will probably put him at the backup 4 now where Bennett should be getting time. Just when Bennett starts showing any flashes his minutes are going to be taken away

Lotto protected swap, this team has enough youth to where I'm not losing sleep if we have the 18th pick and have to swap to 24 with the Bulls. Who knows they could be in utter shambles by then, even more so than they are now.

Think of it this way. Deng is the best SF here since LeBron (not saying much), but better than anything we had previous to LeBron since........?

This is great! 18-20 Pts plus good d at a position of need. Wowzer!

Incredible trade. We gave up 2 seconds, the Sac pick (which is unlikely to be a first), and the right to swap picks which will only occur if both the Bulls and the Cavs make the playoffs next year and the Bulls finish better (otherwise, they won't want to swap picks). Bottom line, if you want to get to the playoffs this year, then this trade is simply amazing. Also, it gives us a chance to see if we are interested in Deng and he is interested in us for the long term and at a fair price. It also shows Irving we are serious about competing to the extent he is so frustrated that he would leave despite the Cavs' ability to offer him a lot more than anyone else.

I don't know how Grant could do any better in connection with improving this team in a January trade.

Fucking Bulls are going to be interesting. They're going to get a nice lottery pick now that Deng has been traded. They'll get Rose back and they have Mirotic waiting in Europe. The could become good again really quickly
