- Banner and scouts didn’t want him
- When Banner was fired, he was off the draft board.
- Farmer originally didn’t want Manziel. Liked Teddy. Also really liked Zach Martin and Brandon Cooks.
- Analytics study had Bridgewater and Carr at 1&2.
- Haslam, marketing and sales, Alex Schiner pushed for Manziel.
- Farmer basically had no choice after Haslam told him we’re trading up to get him.

But really, I’ve had this argument before with people regarding flashy players and ticket sales

The most marketable player for a fan base like ours is one that makes us a perennial contender. Tebow’s and Manziels of the world are short term unsustainable spikes. A FQB will sell tickets for years and years and years even if he isn’t a “marketable” QB

Remarkable paid professionals wouldn’t know that or that the incentive structure in place was such that they did know that, but they got paid based only on short term goals

I gotta say it’s going to be hilarious how mad they get if we lose

Same, but it would be really funny for them to get bounced because they lost to the Bengals even though we won for them.

Would be funny, but I respect the Steelers and how they are ran and don't really hate most of their fans, I find nothing to respect with the Ravens...nothing.
 
I get some of you hate the Steelers more than Ravens but why? Steelers fans were supportive of us when we lost the Browns and the Ravens fucking stole our team.

I just don't understand how you hate the Steelers more than the Ravens personally.
