Browns 2022 Record Prediction Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm gonna go 10-7 with a twist:

Jacoby isn't as bad as people believe. He gets us 6 wins. I actually think we'll start off strong with a 5-2 record (softer schedule upfront being a contributing factor).

Yes, I think he will be a bottom 10 starter, but he'll play well within the confines of the offense. He'll deliver on the plays he needs to make and Stefanski will be able to somewhat carry him through the first 7 games. After that he starts to crumble and he goes 1-3 in his final 4 games. For all his limitations, there were two things I noticed during the preseason game:
  • Velocity on short throws was surprisingly good
  • Composure under pressure was impressive
I know his deep ball isn't great and his intermediate passing game can be pretty meh, but I think he's a good decision maker and can move the chains on short yardage (7 yards and under) rather consistently and is something Stefanski can utilize. Statistics have shown that he performs quite well under pressure which will be a key factor in his ability to convert on 3rd downs.

Fine.

0-0-17

Make sure your sisters have plenty of Carmex.

5-6 under Mr. Brissett
1-5 under Mr. Watson

Deflating season leaving tons of question marks from what we now currently think is set moving forward. Watson looks like a shell being one of them.

If our defense can't carry us to a 4-0 start, I'll be disapointed in them. Baker, Flacco, Trubisky, Mariota will likely be the worst 4 QBs we face all year.
12-5

7-4 with Brisket
5-1 with Watson

3-1 in the first four.

We never reach two games over .500 the rest of the way.

Watson looks rough after being two years removed from football, and people start panicking saying that trading for him was the dumbest move of all time.

Next year Super Bowl.

9-8

It's as if Baker never left.

"Fire Woods. Fire Stefanski. Fire Berry. Haslam should sell…” the common refrain in Game Threads.

Literally no outcome would surprise me this year. Leaning towards 8-9 or 9-8 with questions about the direction of the franchise unanswered for yet another season.

Stefanski is still the HC right?

7-10

Even with this much talent, Browns still provide a bottom 3 fan experience in American pro sports.

They do manage to make things un-fun every year.

The game threads can be awful and a stark reminder of why I can really only watch football with a select few people IRL.

The dramatic, over-the-top takes are a coping mechanism for people who can't manage their disappointment.
