Sure sounds like Rapsheet (who admittedly is spotty at best) had this one pegged from the jump and Kendricks for whatever reason has a personal vendetta against the guy and just went off on him.

Probably because Kendricks isnt likely to start? Schobert is a better run stopper and you pay Collins and Kirksey a metric shot ton of cash. None of them are getting benched.

Kendricks will be a situational pass defender. Which is what they needed at LBer.

Typically most teams play their third linebacker only about 25-30% of the time. Gregg didn't do that last year obviously and it likely heavily contributed to the Browns horrendous struggles against the pass, but that's neither here nor there.

At this point, the Browns have 4 capable linebackers. I totally get depth and all that, but how do all these guys see the field?

I guess that isn't the worst problem in the world to have.

It's a great problem to have, especially when there are a lot of question marks behind Collins/Schobert/Kirksey. Not like we don't have the $ to spend. Its a 1 year deal, and Collins hasn't exactly been durable in his time here.

I could see Collins lining up at DE in some cases. One thing for certain is the LB battle in camp is going to be very interesting. I hope HBO highlights it.

QB, WR, LB, RB all have come together very nicely.

DL, OL, DB need shored up depth wise, and Safety needs to be addressed at the top down.

Nah I think Collins is safe. He had one bad year and an injury. They’ll give him this year to see if he wants to play. Kendrick is on a one year deal. Nothing to cut someone else over. And no he’s not good in coverage. He’s worse than his numbers may suggest.

I wouldn’t mind playing over over joe though. He looked really slow. But I’m not sure they do that after his pro bowl season. Even though it was kind of a phony pro bowl.

Schobert was tied for the league-league for tackles with 144. And I don't think it's fair to say they were heavily passed with tackles 7-8 yards past the LOS. He's a legit young ILB that you keep for as long as you can, and let him continue to improve.

Dude...

This is as deep of an offensive line as there is in the NFL. There are going to be tough cuts.

DB’s, we just revamped the entire room with a SS in the 1st round last year, a shutdown corner in the 1st round this year, signed two studs in Gaines and Carrie, and traded for a starting FS.

So, they are addressing these spots.

Sure, you can always use “more depth.” I’m just not a fan of big generalized statements.
