Buying a new old phone?

Figured I'd start this thread to see if anyone had any resources. My parents are finally in the market of getting smart phones and they seem to be set on getting Galaxy S3's. The reason being that the price should be cheaper than the new phones, but it's still a nice looking/technically appealing phone. I don't want to pay more than 200-250 dollars for one. Are these phones still available to be purchased new? I don't want to get them used phones. So if I wanted to buy a new S3 (or maybe S4), where would I go about purchasing such a thing? Any sites outside of the eBays of the world? Any reliable re-sellers? Has to be unlocked/T-Mobile.

Not looking for opinions on iPhones/ other phones.

Don't do it. Used phones are problematic. Spend the money.

Plus, phones are all hype. My prepaid is better than the s3, cost me a hundred bucks

I hear that... but how do I get them a new smartphone without paying 350-400 bucks each?

At the range you're looking at I would get either Nexus 5's for $349 or MMotoG's for $179(8GB)/200(16GB). I loved my S3 but I found the screen cracked way too easy. Basically shattered on a nothing fall. There's also a Galaxy Grand 2 that might be more what you wanna spend or a Galaxy Duo 2 which are cheaper than the s3 IIRC.

T mobile has good prices on plans and phones.. my phone is the Alcatel fierce which has been great. On their site they have an htc fir thirty bucks more. I'd go with one if those two

Seriously don't go for used phones. There is a ton of things wrong with it. Just get a new phone.

Either the Galaxy or the iPhone. I bet you can get the iPhone 4 for pretty cheap. I have it right now, but looking to upgrade to the iPhone 6 when that comes out this fall.

Hey guys my wife has a galaxy s3. It keeps getting a sd card error. I just reformatted the sd card and the phone won't read the card. It says error and card is blank even thought I just put a bunch of music on it for her. I out the card in my phone and it works fine I'm stumped.

Every single phone I've used eventually got so buggy it was unusable.. could have sold them and the buyer wouldn't know anything was up till I was gone
