This trade was proposed to me. I rejected it, thinking about making a counter offer but I like Austin. I know he only had 2 points this week but that's not normal for him. Johnson maybe the better choice for the future but I think I gotta decline this trade every time.

Austin is the better player now and will be in the future.

I like Calvin Johnson. I like Miles Austin better.

Miles is better now and will be better in the future. He has a better QB throwing to him now and will have a better QB throwing to him in the future. Teams can't afford to double team Miles like they can Calvin because Dallas has so many weapons as to where the Lions only have Calvin Johnson as a WR.

I have both on my fantasy team so I don't have to worry about anything remotely close to that....lol

The only thing about Austin is that if Romo begins to click with Dez Bryant and Roy Williams. He already clicks with Witten. There could be alot of spreading the ball around as the season rolls on devaluing Austin alittle or alot.

Austin still gets the most balls out of those guys.

Johnson has all the talent but he plays on the Lions. I wouldn't trust Shaun Hill or Stafford any time soon.

Sure he clicks with Witten. He always has. Witten is slowing down a tad so I wouldn't worry about that. He never gets targeted in the redzone anymore. Roy Williams looks alot better this year but its 3 games. Miles Austin has shown since he has had a chance that he is the man. No one on the team will take touches away from Miles. If anything Dez Bryant will take touches away from Roy Williams. No one on the team runs routes to the precision of Miles Austin and you don't think Romo trusts him more? He had an off game. You can't expect 10 catches and 150+ yards every game. You don't have to worry about Miles producing.

Where did I say he doesn't trust him? The Cowboys are loaded with talent. Austin, Williams, and Bryant would all be our #1 WR. I just think if Romo gains chemistry with both Williams and Dez it will hurt Austin's value alittle.

I agree....and this is coming from a Diehard cowboys fan and a huge supporter of Miles even before his breakout season.

Miles Austin is clearly the best receiver on that team....but the first two games it seemed Romo kind of forced the ball to Austin underneath a bit. Romo is at his best when we spread the offense and he spreads the ball around, and that's what we saw in the win against Houston. If the Cowboys offense continues to spread the ball around (it should but lord knows what Jason Garret will fuck up with an extra week of planning), Austins numbers could go way up or way down depending on the night.

I would still keep Austin over Calvin. I always look at the QB situation...and Austin is in a good situation.

I wasn't trying to say you said he didn't trust him, I was just making the point of don't doubt Austin. Thats all.

If Williams and Dez produce then all that does it take he double teams away from Miles and opens up a whole new ball game for him. His production won't slip.

I don't think Romo forced the ball the first two games, I just think Red Jesus is a fucking moron. I have been saying that for years and that we need to fire him. I swear he has Romo on his fantasy team and will not let him hand the ball off consistently. Jason over thinks every fucking aspect of the game. Man, I wish he would get fired.

Miles Austin is the man down here, trust me. If the Cowboys got a decent offer for Roy Williams, he would have been on a plane yesterday.

I'd take Austin over Calvin any day.
