I know it's apples to oranges but people weren't happy with Sexton's playmaking with the exact same 4.4 assists per game last year. 6.1 assists for KPJ is also same as DG was putting up last year.
Sometime you just got to go by the eye test. We will see how willing of a passer LeVert as he get integrated into this Cavs team. KPJ was a fairly willing passer when he was with the Cavs. Ill be honest that I have no reason to ever watch the Rockets and KPJ now unless they are playing the Cavs.
Willing and effective are different.
Last year Sexton was trying to play PG, had the ball allot more than a SG. But, that doesnt mean its Sexton's fault, as we are not sure if JBB had Sexton playing off ball.
This season, before Sexton got hurt, it was clear they had defined roles. Sexton was the SG,
KPJ is playing out of position, but what is Houston to do, they drafted a SG 2nd overall, KPJ is the better passer, so they move him to PG, which is not a position KPJ can play effectively.
Sexton's size and lack of defense made him an imperfect player for the starting SG position next to a 6'1 Garland. KPJ has tallent, he is also a SG, so I dont know what the fuck they are doing in Houston, but lucky for us they are idiots because that got us Mobley.
As for KPJ, he is a good passing SG, actually one simular to LeVert in that manner. But LeVert appears to be more effective of a passer as he has avareged almost 5 assists a game with ball dominant PG's while KPJ is only averaging 1.5 more assists as the ball dominate PG. And all I mean by ball Dominate is they are th unquestioned pg like Dinwiddie furing Brooklyn years or Garland has been this year. Playing some next to Rubio didnt cause Garland's assist to go up, and i am hoping the same for LeVert.
But this is the Reddish thread, and for now I want no part of Reddish, I rather play LeVert at SF some than pick up Reddish.
