Game Notes

· LeBron James has scored at least 29 points in eight straight games and has averaged 33.4 points on .533 shooting in those games. It marks the second-longest stretch of games in his career with at least 29 points (11 straight from March 19 – April 10 of last season). In addition, he has scored at least 32 points in each of the last four games and has averaged 35.5 points on .570 shooting in those games.

· Over his last three games, Donyell Marshall has averaged 10.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He has connected on six of his last nine three-point attempts.

· Larry Hughes has posted back-to-back games of at least 22 points, five rebounds and five assists. He has averaged 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists over the past two games. Cleveland is 16-5 all-time when Hughes scores 20 or more points.

· Over their last two games, LeBron James and Larry Hughes have combined to average 58.5 points, 14.0 rebounds and 13.0 assists per game.

· The Cavaliers defense has limited opponents to just 91.0 points on .374 shooting in the past two games.

· With a win tonight, Cleveland will move to 11 games over .500 for the first time this season. They have been 10 games above .500 on three occasions this season.

We owe these Detroit punks a good beat-down. They beat us twice so far, and enough is enough. We can still get that #1 seed, it wont be easy, but possible. I like the swagger the Cavs have right now, time to smack the Pistons around tonite!!! :boxer:

:chuckles:

This is a HUGE game for us tonight. If we could cut that lead down to two games before Detroit heads out West that would put a lot of pressure on them. I'd love nothing more than for us to go in there and grind out a tough win late in the 4th. We need to beat these guys again and really get that swagger back...

huge game tonight....what else can you say

LeBron and Larry have played like we all hoped they would play together the past two games

I love Larry at the point especially against this Detriot team because Sasha gives us an element of Boobie but we dont have to worry about Chuancey destroying Boobie down low cause Hughes can Handle him

need to win this game and if we do I guarentee we will be number 1 in the conference after Detroits west coast trip

LeBron needs to continue his dominance of late and attack the basket like he was last year in the playoffs and the big guys need to rebound well and control Webber and do our best against Sheed

We haven't scored over 80 points in the last 4 games against the Pistons. We've broken 20 points only 2 times in the last 8 quarters. This game is a playoff game as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to see the new lineup run when they can. I'd also like to see Z get some plays run his way. They've been eading him back in, but I think Brown is too hesitant to go to him...tonight he could be a factor.
I've seen Sheed listed as probable and doubtful...that will make a big difference.

Golden State didn't really do us a favour by humiliating them at home. Look for them to bounce back in a big way. This has all the signs of another ugly grind it out affair.

This is absolutely a huge game. Lose tonight and forget about the 1 seed. I've basically written off the #1 since mid-January but a win tonight and, looking at the schedules, we can take the division.

However, tonight's game could go either way. I say we either win a close one or get blown out. I don't see a happy medium.

Hopefully, Sheed is "doubtful."

hopefully sheed will bleed by a verajao punch or elbow :)

If we're losing late maybe LBJ could take a page out of Kobe's book and try his patented slap to the face on the follow through... it's apparently only a one-game suspension, even if done multiple times.

If Sheed is out, Dale Davis comes into the rotation. That is certainly a good thing. Also I am tired of McDyess coming in and knocking down jumper after jumper on us. That must stop now.

In the words of the great Rick Flair........To be The Man, you gotta beat The Man.........Time to put up or shut up Cavaliers.

Cavs come out hitting on all cylinders..........nice start.

Umm yeah. Wow. Nice start.

I love the playoff like atmosphere of this one. I have a feeling it's going to be a close one.

I'll take close at the end with a chance to win. ;)

Tremendous jump out of the gates. Offensively in sync. Just have to remain consistent in our efforts. Detroit may be suffering from some self doubt right now. Foul trouble a slight concern for Larry though. He and James dominating again!
