CURRENT OPPONENT
KINGS VS. CLEVELAND (11 /9 - ARCO Arena): Tonight’s game vs. Cleveland is the first of two regular season matchups against the Cavaliers. Cleveland won both meetings against the Kings in 2006-07. The Cavaliers have won three of the last four contests against the Kings and the last two games at ARCO Arena. Prior to the last two setbacks at home against the Cavaliers, the Kings had won the previous seven games in Sacramento. The Kings lead the all-time series versus the Cavaliers, 51-45, but trail, 17-25, in the Sacramento era.

2006-07 GAME RECAPS
GAME #1: CLEVELAND 108, SACRAMENTO 98
January 9 - LeBron James scored 11 of his game-high 34 points in the third quarter as the Cavaliers sent the Kings to their third straight defeat, 108-98, at ARCO Arena. The Kings had a 53-38 halftime lead, but the Cavs went on a 31-9 run in the third quarter to enter the fourth quarter with a 75-70 advantage. Cleveland then opened the fourth with a 15-5 run for a 90-75 lead. Sacramento closed to within four, 98-94, with 1:14 remaining in the fourth quarter, but Drew Gooden scored five straight points to push the lead to nine. Larry Hughes’ steal and basket sealed the win for the Cavs, their fourth straight. Three Kings scored 20 or more points: Mike Bibby (26), Brad Miller (24), and Kevin Martin (23). Martin also grabbed a game-high-tying and career-high 11 rebounds. Gooden also finished with a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

GAME #2: CLEVELAND 124, SACRAMENTO 100
March 13 - Playing without Lebron James, all five Cleveland starters scored in double-figures led by Larry Hughes and Sasha Pavlovic, who each scored a game-high 25 points, as the Cavaliers handed the Kings a 124-100 loss at the Quicken Loans Arena. With the score tied at halftime, 51-51, Cleveland opened the third quarter on a 14-2 run to take control of the game. The Kings could not recover, trailing by double-digits the rest of the way. Ron Artest led the Kings with 19 points. Kevin Martin finished with 13 points and Mike Bibby with 12. Zydrunas Ilgauskas (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Drew Gooden (10 points, 10 rebounds) each finished with double-doubles and led all payers in rebounds. In the pivotal third quarter, the Cavaliers outscored the Kings, 35-18, and shot them from the field, 65 to 35 percent. Cleveland also made 13 three-pointers, with four players each connecting on three a piece.

Hopefully Gooden get's pumped for this game and realizes he can make Petrie wish he would have taken the friggen deal.

Why is Kevin Martin on PG, Salmons on SG and Garcia on SF? It should be:

PG: Garcia
SG: Martin
SF: Salmons

Great intro BTW:thumbup:

HOT BUTTERED Donald's prediction:

Cavs 101
Kings 95

(The Donny line-- 26pts, 9rbs, 6ast, 3stls, 1blk, 0to)

(8/13 fg/m) (6/10 3ptfg/m) (4/4fta/m)

Because I put it as matchups on who I feel our players will be guarding. I actually thought about that....Martin plays smaller than Garcia - so I figured Boobie on him would be the best matchup.

Plus, on the Kings site, it lists Garcia as a G/F. Martin and Salmons are only listed as a G.

Game Notes are up.

I'll also get them from the Kings perspective once they release theirs.

And I agree Pip. Click on the myspace link in my preview. Many more photos.

Great preview CCF.

So far this season we are LWLWL

All signs then point to a W

Boobie on Martin is the worst way to go. Cavs is asking to get torched. I'd say 15FTs would come from Martin even anyone who guards him. If Mike Brown is any smarter he'd put Pavlovic on Martin, Devin/LeBron on Salmons and Lebron on Garcia.

Spencer should play right now so he could display his awesome post skills. So watching this game would be a win-win situation.

Holy shit! You have got to be kidding me! I have 2 ESPN channels over here. They're supposed to show the ****ing game, but no! They show a very gay game of billiards. I love billiards but if I want to watch it I'd go to the ****ing arena to watch that stupid tournament! And then on the other channel, a football game that nobody watches! What a ****ed up sports channel! I hate ****ing ESPN! **** ESPN!
