Man, if Carter passes that out for an open 3 by Kidd we'd be having issues but hey we're up 3-1. One good thing about the Mike Brown style game, it sure takes the crowd out of things. You can only cheer so much when your team scores all of its points in the last half of the 4th on just free throws. The loudest the crowd was all night was the Lebron missed free throw at the end. But in the end, the Cavs pulled out JUST enough to win this one and send it back to Cleveland.
People are going to give Lebron crap for missing free throws, not being clutch, whatever, but Carter has been for the most part, total garbage this series. 6-23 just isnt beneficial, I almost think they'd be better off without him if he plays like that more often than not.
Mikki Moore has just been money. I cant believe this guy can hit 20 footers. He also seems to wreck havoc on out defensive rotations. For some reason we can't account for him cutting to the basket off ball screens and he gets wide open dunks. I think part of it may be that the bigs aren't attacking the ball as hard and making the pass easy, but still. Hes the kind of guy we need to run at early to get him foul trouble, the rest of their bigs dont do anything. I can see him getting a 5 year contract from the Knicks for the MLE this season.
Is there anyone you're more love/hate with than Larry? That pull up jumper of his is a test of will, but he hit 2 huge ones down by 8. Seems that he makes just enough of those and just enough threes to justify his shots, but I'd still like to see him drive it in. His D has been solid, seems more disruptive, he even got credited for 2 blocks this game though I'm having a hard time remembering any of them.
We refuse to take advantage of the penalty. We had the penalty with 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter and only drew 2 more fouls I think while still jacking up jumpers. Take it inside and force them to either foul or give you the good shot.
I thought Gibson did a good job guarding Kidd. More Gibson?
