Game Notes

→ LeBron James is coming off a season-high 39 point, 10-rebound effort against Philadelphia on Wednesday. He scored 13 points in the second overtime which is the most points ever scored by a Cavalier in an overtime period. His 39 points were the most ever scored by a Cavalier against the 76ers.

→ Larry Hughes posted 26 points (tied for his second highest output of the season) and hit on a season-high five three-pointers against Philadelphia on Wednesday. He has averged 17.4 points and shot .421 (8-19) from three-point range over the last five games.

→ Anderson Varejao has grabbed at least seven rebounds in eight of the last nine games. He had 10 rebounds in a career-high 42 minutes on Wednesday against the 76ers.

→ In five career back-to-back games against the same opponent, LeBron James has averaged 26.6 points on .495 shooting, 6.0 rebounds and 6.4 assists in the second game of the back-to-back. Cleveland is 4-1 in those games since the start of the 2003-04 season.

→ With a win tonight, the Cavaliers will tie their team record for most road wins in a month with six (three different occasions – most recently Feb. 1993).

→ With three assists tonight, LeBron James would move into seventh place in team history in assists passing Austin Carr who finished his Cavs career with 1,820.

We need to make a statement and straight out crush them. But I'll just be happy with a win.

If we can't beat them this time around, then we have major issues.

I wonder if the refs will play fair today. If they do, cavs should win.

Bron is out, check ESPN. Now we will see how bad this team really is. I'm calling a loss by double digits.

LeBron Out For Friday's Game At Philadelphia
26th January, 2007 - 12:32 pm
Press Release -
LeBron James underwent an MRI yesterday at The Cleveland Clinic for a sprained right big toe. Results of the MRI were negative. He was re-examined this morning in Philadelphia by the team’s medical staff.

A decision was made, in consultation with Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry and Head Coach Mike Brown that, as a
pre-cautionary measure, he would not play tonight in Philadelphia against the Sixers.

He is now listed as Out for tonight and day to day moving forward. [READ]

But now we'll be forced to play team ball. :yay: At least we can see some other possibilities. Just think how strong the Hornets are going to be at full strength after losing so many key personnel early, then getting them back slowly. I wonder what would happen if Lebron was out 3 or 4 games. At this point I wouldn't mind.

Now we will see why Lebron should have been the MVP last year. Who is Brown going to start in his place? Wesley?:)

I would think it will be Sasha...

If Mike Brown lives up to form he will start a player who's not in the rotation. Wesley, Gibson or Newble. He hates messing with his rotational players.

If Newble is in the starting line-up tonight I may kick a hole through my TV. Please, let's not even go there.

I was joking. I agree, Sasha should start tonight. But you never know.

you never know with MB, it may be Newble. A veteran who can play tough defense, they will say

:puke: don't even think that. Newble is complete garbage, and he better not even suit up for the game tonight. He's a joke, and it's not even funny for anyone to suggest that he EVER play!
