TCF23's Keys To The Game

Play the way we play ball.I want say get out and run so bad but the Spurs have proven that they can push the ball also. This Spur team is a hard team to judge, but if we are going to win it is going to have to be a defensive battle.

I never thought I would say this. But come on LeBron 16 shots? When you don't shoot much of course your percentage will be bad if you struggle even just a little bit.I think we are going to need a 35,6,6 game from LeBron to win this one.

I want to see Duncan get worked on D a lot more.Whether it is Drew or Z being fed the ball.Don't be afraid of this frontline at all.Duncan may be a great shot blocker but he isn't even all that athletic.Ilgauskas you are a 7 footer now go up strong!!!Drew just play the way you played last game, some more touches we should be good.

Now wasn't it obvious when you look at the box score that Boobie Gibson should have been shooting a lot more shots.I want to see this guy get the majority PG minutes and let Larry Hughes sit as much as possible.Gibson should take around 15 shots.

Defensive matchups I really want to see out the gates when Manu comes in is LeBron on Parker,Larry on Bowen, and Sasha guarding Manu.I can see Sasha and Manu getting into it at one point in this series just because they are both feisty hard nosed Europeans.

TCF23's Final Note

We played scared last game on the offensive side of the ball.It was our first Finals appearance and that is exactly what we looked like.LeBron show the world why you are the King again, because after last game I think some people need to be reminded. If we steal one Sunday night, that means they have to steal one in our place to not lose the NBA Finals.

Prediction:Cavs win 78-71.

If the Cavs want to win they have to play aggresive and make the Spurs react instead of the Cavs reacting to the Spurs defese.

I guess this is the game that we WILL WIN.......WE WILL.......

Must win this game.
RISE UP...from the grave!

My thoughts....

1. Keep Larry Hughes's minutes under 20. I definately respect the fact that he's attempting to play on his injured foot, but he's just not playing effective basketball out there. He doesn't have the lateral quickness with his injury to stick in front of Parker. He also doesn't have the quickness right now to actually slash to the basket and get to the foul line. Yeah if you don't want to mess with team chemistry you can give him the token start of each half, but limit his minutes to about 15 tonight and give the rest of them to Boobie Gibson.

2. Somehow convince LeBron to be more assertive when he gets the basketball in his hands. In my opinion, LeBron can't get the ball at the wing and hold it for 4 or 5 seconds and allow Duncan to sneak over and cut off his driving path. LeBron needs to get the ball and make his move immediately, either go right to the basket and try to score before the help can get set up or go right to the basket and make the pass. Either way, just be more decisive when you catch the ball 20 feet from the bucket.

3. Stay aggressive offensively. Not just LeBron, but everyone on the team needs to keep going to the basket because there is no way this new set of referees will let our guys get mugged in the paint as much as they did in Game 1.

For some reason, I just feel good about the Cavaliers' chances in this game. LeBron is going to play a lot better, Z should step up some, we will defend the pick and roll better. I think the game is right there to be stolen.

I had a dream the other night that we would win, for what thats worth I dont know but at least we won.

Why don't we just focus our attention defensively on one of their guys ?? I understand that they have more weapons that can hurt us, but if we really take away one of their main weapons, I'm sure that changes the dynamic....

i hope we win, i think we have agood shot. hughes minutes needs to be around 10 at max. More boobie please! Also i think we need to score 85+ to win.

I still can't believe how lame their announcer and crowd are...

You can't sit Lebron. The game may have been decided already.

Sasha turning the ball over, he is machien i nthat department and lebron with 2 fouls...yikes
