I honestly think while GSW will look absurdly great on many nights during the year we will beat them in 6 in the Finals barring injuries to us.

Why do i think that?

1. GSWs defense went from amazing to barley above average with Bogut out. He was their defensive anchor and formed their Defensive Identity. Yes he did only play around 20mpg but that gave them half a Game of Absolutly Elite Defense. Now with Bogut gone their Defense will propably look pretty "meh".

2. They have nobody good to guard the Post exept Green. Zaza and West are average at best at their ages and KD wont want to guard Love and Lebron in the Paint Full Time. Or TT if they decide to put Green on Lebron/Love.

3. Their depth was their biggest strenght. Look at games 1 and 2 of the Finals. If not for their amazing Bench they would have lost maybe both but certianly Game 1 it would have been 2-1 after the first Game in CLE and in that scenario i like our Chances winning in Game 6.
Yes They now have KD but if we can cool of Klay and Steph for a 3rd Finals in a row since they lost alot of Depth the load on KD will be immense.

4. Abandoning "Strenght in Numbers" and "Who ever is open" to fit KD.
GSW was unbeatable when their passing Game is on point and they just play without Ego.
KD is a gianormous Ball Stopper who is prone to make not the best decisions especially under Pressure. Yes they now have KD to bail them out in Iso heavey Games but we know we can beat them when we force them into "Hero Ball"

5. The Pressure is at an All Time High. This is the most Talented Team ever assembled. Anything but the Title will be a failure of unprecedented magnitude.
GSW was at their best when they where the "new, fresh, suprise Team" they played free and where hard to beat. Last Playoffs the Pressure really got to them. They did not cope very well with not beeing the "Golden Boys" anymore. They reacted extremly poorly to any critisim. If they fail to win it all without the excuse of Curry AND KD beeing out for the Season with injuries this will heavily damage their Careers.

6. We will be better too. Alot better with a Full Training Camp learning the System that brought us a Title.
Lebron will be motivated as hell to give GSW hell. He owns KD and has stolen Currys soul..
Those whimps are so scared of us and Lebron they had to get KD because they are too scared of facing us again.

I like you, BigJ.

I don't know why I look at this and just groan.

They do indeed come across as villians. Their whole team is like the rival fraternity to "Delta House" in "Animal House".

Klay Thompson saying "Man's Game", and declaring his team better than the "Showtime Lakers"?
Kevin Durant pussing out because he can't beat these assholes and then joins them?
Steph Curry charging thousands of dollars for his camps, and just over all acting like a smug dick?
Says a lot that the only person willing to show any class towards the Cavs was a guy that got suspended for playing dirty pool.

I can't recall if it was a podcast I read or a Drew Magary piece I read, but they were describing the Cavs V. the Warriors in terms of narratives. Defining the Finals as a narrative between Hard Work and Entitlement. Blue Collar V. TechBros, etc, Rich Kids V. People who had to work their ass to get where they were.

When the PD came out with the LBJ "Home" Issue, a very dear GF from HS sent me a copy. I must have made some impression. (4 Decades later) I finally put that front page on my wall before Game 7. I tear up every time I read it. IDKW.

What a beta ass bitch.

Apparently it does matter to you because you keep bringing it up.

Steph now has joined the ranks of those who's finals record isn't 100% either...

So every superstar that comes down the pike Jordan can check off his list Mercury Morris style....

Wasn't this the same argument they told against us Cavs fans in regards to Kyrie, Love not being in the 2015 Finals?

He reminds me of the immature version of LeBron we saw from like 2010 until 2012. Except LeBron fucking GOT it after he got humiliated on a national stage. He shut the fuck up, got to work, and kicked ass. This is why he's LeBron fucking James now.

I don't like this guy, nor do I like this team's style of play. Good lord I hope they get their asses kicked next season.

I understand the concept of all aboard the hate train, but he clearly was playing hurt (as most players do to some extent by the time the finals roll around) ... and he's right it doesn't matter ... that is in terms of who won or lost because there are no do-overs ... but it does matter when looking forward.

Was he playing hurt when he scored 30+ points in three consecutive games to help beat Oklahoma City? I doubt the Thunder think so.

Got to be honest... he looked like pretty much the same guy we saw in last year's Finals. I mean, an honest-to-goodness injured Kyrie Irving playing at maybe 80-85% arguably outplayed him in Game 1 and then Delly was even doing work for a couple of games until we completely ran out of gas.

He should just STFU about injuries and let his game do the talking ... if it were to happen in The Finals, it would be the first time.

No body on the cavaliers was 100%

If you play the game injuries are no excuse

Love and Irving (one game) didn't play therefore that's a reason

Everyone in the finals is injured. No player is 100%

I have no idea what your point is with this post except to pot stir. He was playing no more injured than anyone else and has been rendered mortal in two straight finals against us, for the most part. Looking forward, Kyrie and LeBron will continue to remind him his regular season accolades means nothing. That's all that matters. But glad to you know you "understand the concept".. :chuckle:

I don't care how hurt he was cause he was logging major minutes...

The Warriors have yet to prove they can beat a Cavs team with Kyrie on the floor in a 7 game series.

Completely validating the notion that the Cavs would have probably beaten them in '15 if they had their team to compete...

He did add "not that it matters" because he realizes most players & fans will respond like you did.

But the reality is that injuries affect players and when trying to figure out what did or did not go on, I'd rather hear about it rather than just guess about it.

That goes for Delly and Kevin as well as for Steph. I try not to change how I view things based on which team it happened to.

Yep, I saw Andre Iguoadala logging major minutes while limping around the floor in game 6, then came back for game 7 and looked a lot better; but feel free not to care about that as well. :)
