Cavs talk moderation

There are a handful of topics on the Cavs Talk forum that could easily be merged with other topics. A lot of these new guys are making topics for seemingly no reason and it is really guttering up the forum. The reason I loved this site so much was that there used to be a new topic only when it was necessary and the discussion remained within it. These new guys are making me feel like I am on cavs.com.

People are just excited about the new look Cavaliers and want their opinions or questions to be heard.

Merging is an option that has been taken a few times but I think a little leniency the next few days is in this websites best interest. Come Monday things will be back to normal I suspect.

Wow, it is now operant who wants to become a mod around here...badly.

Lately, I can't think of a thread here where it doesn't have you complaining about the threads.

As good and as helpful, may your intention have been, you actually hurt the forum by going to too many threads and posting distractions/complaints.

I actually went to two threads and posted it but if that's too many than so be it. The fact is that the forum is cluttered for the first time since I have been registered here. This is my favorite site on the internet and I have no desire to become a mod nor would I accept it if the offer was made. It may return to normal but I highly doubt it. The suggestion I made was simply merging topics together which has been done several times in the past. I am not sure why now is any different.

No problem man, I am not here to start fights. I definitely trust the mods, I just thought I would voice my opinion on the matter and I got my answer from Ben. It remains to be seen whether what he said about the pace dying down actually occurs. If it does then problem solved if not, I would hope there are some merges.

I don't have a problem with it, the new guys signing up have some thoughts that are pretty good ones, and I enjoy reading them. Like Ben said, things will cool down soon enough.

Just wanna 2nd Split's emotion. Posts and threads like "Lebron will kick ass" are the whole reason I avoid the other Cavs forums. But I also agree that we should give it a little time. I think it has everything to do with the trade; I haven't noticed it until the past week. And tons of threads got started, including by yours truly, in haste. I should have put the National Media stuff in the thread Wes started instead of my own. But the mods merged them anyway, for good reason, and I repped Wes, and it's all good.

I've never really thanked the mods here, btw. You guys do a great job.
