Would easily rather Boston. TT always destroys Horford. Smart is a horrible offensive perimeter player and we could do to him what we did with Lance in rd1. Could use the same blitzing scheme for IT that we used on Derozam; plus IT doesn't have the height to see over the double to make some of the passes Derozan hit us with in the TOR series.

And I'm not even sure not getting the home court that much of a bad thing. Maybe being away from home early in the series can help for when they do the same in the Finals.

This topic already? The series started not even a week ago!

If you play Boston, you basically ignore everyone not named IT. A little tougher with Washington. My guess is you treat Morris and Gortat the same way you played Ibaka and Valanciunas.

Do whatever you can to keep Wall out of the paint. Run Porter and Beal off the line. Make Morris beat you with jumpers, and force Gortat to make plays out of the PnR.

I legitimately think Boston might be the easiest series of all for us. They only have one dynamic playmaker/scorer and he is a defensive liability. They remind me a lot of Toronto sans a 2nd plus scorer. Middling bigs and a lot of scrappy role players who aren't particularly talented at the offensive end. They have surrendered some absolutely ridiculous runs.

The Wiz are the tougher match up solely because of Wall. He's a tougher guard and better playmaker than Thomas. Their lack of depth is offset by Beal being a much better #2 than anything Boston has.

If the celtics are the next opponent...anyone worried that kelly olynyk might try to pull kevin's arm out of its socket again???

I'd go ahead and start the series off by sending in Dahntay Jones to hard-foul the shit out of him.

I'm talking about 1960's hard-ass physical shit. None of this twitter-sensitive millennial respect-Olynyk's-rights bullshit. Take him the fuck out.

He has it coming.

Outside of Draymond Green and GS, I don't think I hate a player more than him.

I agree with hard fouling Olynyk at some point, but only if he starts it. The last thing you want is to get someone injured in a series that could very well be an easy ass sweep.

I wouldn't initiate physicality in that series. Let them start it and possibly get a guy thrown out.

Honestly think this Wizards team will be the toughest EC opponent the Cavs will face since LeBron came back. They've just never had to face a player quite like John Wall. The guards are going to have to bring their A game defensively because Wall has been impossible to keep out of the paint this postseason. And as great as Tristan is, the Cavs don't have a true rim protector.

The Cavs will still be the favorite because of LeBron, but it would not surprise me if the series goes 7.

Not necessarily arguing to hit first, but 2 years ago it was an easy sweep and we suffered multiple liabilities after they initiated it.

I think we'd run the Celtics off the floor but I'd also be constantly paranoid about their goon habits. The Cavs would have to put the league on their highest alert before that one tipped off.

You guys think we would be favored against Boston?

I mean, they had the better record, would have home-court, and they have the highest-scoring player.

I think we would be up against it...

Something to look out for the next round: LeBron at center. We didn't see it at all in the first two rounds (unless I forgot about it). We saw it in Boston to end the year, and it crushed.

I think Washington is the better team and I would rather play them. I think we need to hone in on defense some more, particularly stopping point guards from running train.
The bottom line is Lowry fell apart and Corey Joseph just didn't have the quicks to really get us in trouble. I'd like us to go through one of the best backcourts in the NBA, and also one of the best home records in the NBA, and I think we will. I prioritize growth over rest, and I think the journey to get to the finals is just as important as the destination.

Boston just because Wall is so good. I'll take 12-0 all day.

Wizards so I don't have to hear from cuckolds how LeBron got it so easy in the East. They are both worth 1 win combined anyway.
