Once again, Brown goes away from what's working - namely Z. There was beautiful ball movement early, but it's back to the same old stuff.
Someone might say that we just made shots early on. True, but the ball movement resulted in WIDE OPEN looks. Other than Boobie's two bricks from three in the last two minutes, were there any open shots taken? Nope - give it to LeBron with 6 on the clock and pray.
A subpar - for him - first half for LeBron. He's gotta pick it up if we are going to have a chance.
I'm the furthest thing from a homer, but if Boston is really the BEST the East has to offer, I'll take my chances in the Playoffs. The Big 3 are exceptional, but this team doesn't put fear into me like MJ's Bulls (when the Cavs were good in the '80's and '90's) or even Detroit the past few seasons.
I want to know what everyone else is watching when they say we are "not going to make the playoffs" (Sir Charles) and yet compare that Celtics team to the 72-win Bulls and the Celtics of the '80's. It's ridiculous. If we're that average, then how can that team be considered great?
Oh well. Watch - we'll get blown out by 20 now and this will all get thrown back at me.
This game is more than winnable - they aren't "great." They've had a home-heavy, easy schedule with a ton of off days so far. The Big 3 can't play 40 a night all season. Rant over.
