Cavs vs. Kings 3/1/06

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
so many freaking times we could have put this game away....unbelievable....I just do not know what to say about this team...we could be in some serious trouble

I cant bear to watch us fall apart again....this is killing me

This team will miss the playoffs. it's finished.

They're hanging their heads, refusing to take open looks. They are scared. They are frightened. The stage is too large, and LeBron's shoulders are not broad enough. The weight of fighting the losing tradition has finally broken him.

I'm really sorry. But I know a choke job when I see one. This team is tanking right before our very eyes. No one is stepping up, and as far as I'm concerned, I've got better things to do than watch abject fear permeate the team.

The head coach cannot stop the slide. They are all mentally defeated. It's too bad. The season is 82 games. This organization chokes at 55. It's really that simple. The attitude must change, and there is no one to guide these players through their nerves. A total waste.

I disagree Moo. I'm not going to start a long winded version of why I think so because it doesn't matter. I will only say that this team will finish 10 games over .500 and own a top 5 seed in the East. They will give someone a tough first round matchup and may cash in then, maybe not. They will keep it together until Hughes returns, and when he does....they will get push from him.

Just watch.

they will get push from Hughes? next year?

You don't just miss 60 games and come back in the lineup playing 35 minutes at a high speed.

the Cavs are 32-26 and the Bulls (9) are 24-30. Can they hold on? We will know better soon. They play the Bulls twice this week....

They cannot beat the Bulls now. 0-2. The choke is on.

Moo

I'm fed up with futility

GUYS DONT GIVE UP HOPE JUST YET!

We can still get Rudy Gay :D

we are playing not to lose, instead of playing to win. It's all mental. We will turn it around. Moo the cow? More like moo the chicken. Moo - I will bet u $50 that the cavs make the playoffs. With all these cats as my witness. Put your $ where your mouth is;)

If Larry is done in '06, then you're point is valid. I don't know if he is. Time will tell.

As for his game speed, he broke his finger, not his ankle. I would hope the game pace and conditioning would not be a factor for Hughes' return. As for timing, ball handling, shooting, etc. that's another story.

That being said, this team will get a lift from his return. He will still play defense. In the end they must make the stretch run without him, and I think they will. I'm all in. Anyone care to take the bet?? I put $50 on it.

Nate, I was typing when you posted. Our remarks are the same. I couldn't agree more.

Right now this team has become a pretty sad and tough to watch. Some players are fading instead of stepping up.
What has happened to the consistent veteran play that Marshall and Jones were supposed to provide? You never have any idea what you'll get from these 2 each night.

Z was dominant in the 1st half and then the Cavs hardly looked to him in the 2nd half. Sadly that's become a pattern. I put the blame for that on the coaching staff more than the players.

I guess Mike Brown is the only one who doesn't see that LeBron is getting worn out from the heavy minutes and it's affecting his game negatively. Brown still stubbornly played him 45 minutes tonight as he was lazy on D most of the night, didn't take it strong to the basket and missed every shot he took in the 2nd half.

Flip Murray has stepped up though. There will be some inconsistency in his game but he's at least he's come out and played hard every game here. He's not a 3 point shooter but his D, ballhandling ability and passing are better than advertised.

A collapse is starting. Now the question is whether this current team, LeBron James and an unproven rookie head coach have what it takes to put an end to it, turn things around and go strongly into the playoffs or will they back away from a challenge and continue to fade.

The Cavs will make the playoffs. Lets not get blinded by the losing streak. Cavs will bounce back. Flip will get better playing with the team.

Still an ugly loss. I dont know what happened to the Cavs team that made that big run. This team has multiple personalities. I also question Coach Brown. He cant seem to inspire the team, and his offensive schemes are lacking. LeBron may be tired. I dunno what to say after this loss.

Cavs will bounce back! Book it! Than all you doubters will eat your words!!!!!!!
